OLD NEWS!

5/5/03 - "it's hard being an activist" - andrew spina
two years ago today, we had a wonderful show with the BPC, son of alf (the reset), no regrets, the mcflys, and raspberry jamboree at the pitman firehouse. i would classify this show as one of the most memorable. wow, it seems like a long time ago! well, we hope to be breaking the no show streak soon with a gargantuan comeback worthy of praise (hopefully). anyway, check back in a bit for some more news. things should finally start picking up again.

love, the banana factor
4/9/03 - "i'll never see myself in the mirror with my eyes closed" - they might be giants
well, it's been a while again. and for that, i apologize. if anyone is reading this, you are hardcore. you are diehard. you may even be bordering on insanity. sometimes, i have no idea why people even read this because almost nothing new ever happens. even in light off all this, i commend you. i thank you for caring enough to see why no noticable news has come from this site recently. anyway, that goes to show how strange things can be sometimes. if you don't follow, it's okay--i don't either. sooooo, the basement is really shaping up. we hope to be flirting with our instruments by summer (and by summer, i mean college summer (i.e. mid-may)). if you happen to be checking the site for the first time in a long while, i wrote a "what's up with those idiots" FAQ to answer all of your tbf questions and no more. anyhow, keep an eye or ear out for us, for we'll surely be making music soon!

to read that FAQ, simply click the microKORG link below.

as always, stay positive and live each day as if it were your last.
love, the banana factor.
2/4/03 - "mm, unexplained bacon" - homer
attempt at updating: #2. well, the first time, i made a fatal flaw and here i am, back to square one. anyway, it's probably better that the old message got erased. it just went on and on about things that have no relevance. the only rational thought i had was concerned with my epic internal struggle over which keyboard i should buy: a moog (vintage sound, warm & fuzzy, a must-have) or a microkorg (digital, dance, vocoder, vocoder, vocoder, fancy, available). if you have any opinions, please sign the guestbook. please. it's been forever since anyone but me signed it. anyway, enough of this desperate talk. we don't need you! we're better than you! *cries* ... ... wow, i'm glad that's over. maybe i should've kept the old update after all. eh, such is life.

stay postive | live | enjoy | exist - the banana factor
1/17/03 - "canoes, canoes, canoes!" - becky and martin granger
well, here goes another update for the books. same old story: no noticable progress. but fortunately, there is a lot of great stuff going on over here.

1. the basement is looking nicer as we're progressing
2. i realized that with my tax return, i could finally buy a moog
3. the discussion of the new sound of tbf is making us excited
4. i'm starting to get ideas for the new site layout
5. i watched half of "toys" last night...that's such a great movie

anyway, this lull has been good for us, i think. we were bound to explode (not in popularity...just combustion) soon if we kept on doing what we were doing before. this time has given us all a lot to think about as to where we want to go next. and like i said before, we're all excited. well, here's the gameplan: first, we've got to finish the basement (which is very important since we can't practice or record until it's done), and when that's done, we can get new pictures taken for the site and the cd. when the pictures are done, i can be happy about getting the new site up and running...so you see, stuff is happening, we're just idiots! - lukey & tbf

1/3/03 - "you'll see!" - bill and ted
so, i'm going to finally try to get a new site up and running. one that'll have new and up-to-date pictures, one that will actually have upcoming shows, one with new bios, one with a new look (i think), one that is hopefully banner-free, one that shines like a fresh coat of paint. in other news, the tbf basement is going the way of michael jackson's nose: under construction. as soon as it is finished, we will actually be able to leave our instruments down there without fear of creaping molds and devouring shadows. needless to say, we cannot wait. i hope everyone's break was fun! we had a good time around here. one with lots of cheer. i will stop now - lukey

12/23/02 - "...which is more meaningful, i think" - zoolander
history became myth, myth became legend, and some things that should not have been forgotten were...such as actually updating the site once in a while. the best news i can think of is that christmas is in two days! the first new banana factor band practice, which was supposed to happen last sunday, must be postponed until after christmas because i have no guitar amp--I SOLD IT! and picked up a fabulous half stack tube amp. other christmas goodies will come, too for the rest of us (andrew & luke both got sweeeet guitars). so, yeah, we're lazy. the recording is same as it ever was...almost done. i think we've decided on a title and layout courtesy of luke banana. next big step is to find someone with both a cd burner and 100mb zip disk drive. well, i am rambling now. thanks for checking in! stay postive & have a great holiday. - lukey & tbf

12/11/02 - "yeah, he could be a sushi chef, no problem" - surf ninjas
well, it's been a while, and we don't really have a lot to show for it. we're still doing trumpet tracks, and next is trombone, and then we'll be finished. we've all been really busy with school and work & thus have had trouble getting together to record. but have no fear, it'll be done before you know it (if you don't think about it at all). haha, okay, thanks for checking in. we'll see you guys later - tbf

11/5/02 - "in the computer?...it's so simple!" - hansel
yo yo! some good things came to pass this last weekend:

1. trumpet practice on sunday
2. we got an organ (a big one!)
3. we got some songs burned to cd for a test run
4. life & the pursuit of happiness

in addition to the above, i remixed and equalized each song to boost the sound & make the intruments sound fuller. we still really don't know how it'll turn out, but now have higher hopes than before. with the finished cd coming closer, we also got to talking about cd production and design. i think we've decided on getting them professionally done because we found a pretty cheap place. we have ideas about the album's name and layout, but nothing definite. right now, i'm aiming for it to be done (i.e. in & ready to sell) by christmas break. in line for christmas break is also a basement (where we practice) clean-up and redo to get ready for our next musical endeavors. speaking of our next musical endeavors, i keep on saying we're drummerless, but that's not entirely true. last time we talked, tom mccan (drummer of fit to fail) said he'd like to play for us. tom, i haven't talked to you in a while, but i hope you're still interested because so are we! radical. stick a fork in this update, because it's done. stay positive - lukey & tbf

10/27/02 - "boys don't cry" - the cure
wow, if that isn't emo, i don't know what is...well besides saves the day, of course (joke). i thought i should update the site when i was in a good mood, so here i am: in a good mood. upon a further listening to the recording, i realized "hey, this is us."

this is the recording we should have. it's our first attempt at a full-lenght, i use microsoft paint and a freeware graphics program to do the entire site, we're an inherintely sloppy band (but we want to change that), and the recording isn't even that bad after all. sure, it's easy to tell it wasn't professionally done, but it's not bad enough where you think to yourself "i would rather have pins in my eyeballs" - ghandi. anyway, i hope you haven't forgotten about us. i know we've been out of comission for a little while too long, but lately we've really been feeling the itch to get back into things.

the only thing left to do on the recording is horns. i hesitate to use the word "only" (but i did anyway) because of how much work it'll take. but at the same time, it's very nice to have the end in sight. okay, i've rambled. have a great week. stay positive - lukey & tbf

10/23/02 - the clouds come rolling in
erin is absolutely right: i'm completely stressed out over the recording. and i have gray hair. ska nj ska is basically right. i need a serious does of optomism, else i die tonight. the vocal tracks will crush my body with rocks before they're done with me, and i've heard the songs so many times i don't know what sounds good anymore. i flip back and forth between liking and hating the sound of the recording, and today mood is: loathing...ut-oh. so, i'm at the point where i'm not going to promise anything about our album. it'll be out sometime, and it'll sound how it's going to sound. i'm hoping that i'm just in some negative mood, and i'll update later and say it sounds great. hope with me. stay positive, stay alive, stay gray - lukey

10/14/02 - "bouncing here and there and everywhere..." - gummi bears theme
i have no idea why that came to mind. probably just the fact that i'll never see the show again, and it made me upset. anyway, have i got news for you! luke did tons of bass tracks this last weekend, so we're down to only three tracks left. i've started vocals, and they're coming along semi-nicely. i should have a lot more progress done by next update. the next step is the one everyone has been fearing: horns. it's not that we have terrible horn players, it's just that the horns have always been the instruments that we've swept under the rug (literally (that's a lie)) when it came down to teaching them everything and practicing with them. so alex, jacob, and kevin: be prepared for some horn infusion soon...i don't really know when yet, though. anyway, for the tracks that we've done a lot on, they're sounding good. hopefully, we'll figure out how we're going to produced the cd's and whatnot...and for that, we'll keep you updated. have a great week. stay positiver! until next time - lukey & tbf

10/9/02 - "well i want chives, bro!" - johnny, surf ninjas
well, the bass recording that i hoped would happen did. unfortunately, it was only one song (and the easiest song at that). fortunately, we should get a lot more done this weekend. if all goes well, we'll have a few songs that'll be ready for mp3.com soon. we've worked a lot harder on these songs than previous recordings, so hopefully the quality will be proportional...we'll see, haha (remember: this is a d.i.y. recording & we have no idea what we're doing). anyhow, i hope you're having a good week so far! stay alive - lukey

10/4/02 - like a moth to a flame
every night, i am drawn to it's sleek body. it's pleasant hum resounds in my ears. our new synthesizer is a beautiful thing. anyway, that's really the only reason why i'm typing this...there's really no news. well, there might be some bass recording going on this weekend...we'll see what happens. peace be with you - tbf

9/24/02 - "why fall in love when there's better things to do?" - devo
kudos to andrew who finished his guitar tracks this last weekend. this is great news, but upon completion, we realized that some of my guitar tracks were a tad out of tune, so i'll be going back into the studio (my ghetto basement) with andy sometime soon. oh yeah, andrew is the master of guitar solo's! (you'll see...er, hear) also, during my boring class last night, i added up the song lengths for the cd, and it's going to be a whopping 65 minutes long; add that to the bonus tracks we've already recorded, and it comes to 71 minutes. now do you know why it's taking so long!? (remember to account for the lazy factor when answering that) okay, anyway, we're almost at phase IV now. drums are finished, guitars are mostly finished, bass has a lot still, but all we have after those are vocal tracks followed by the horns. we still don't have any idea when it might be out, so i guess i'll just keep updating to keep everyone posted. stay positive! - tbf

9/19/02 - "hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race" - elo
so andy and put our noses to the grindstone or so to speak, and finished recording my guitar tracks for the album yesterday (well, except for mango, but we need luke's bass track down first). andrew and i are planning to get a bunch more done this weekend, so the rhythm section is getting nearer to completion (which is very great). during my mega-boring class, i finally wrote lyrics for "a beautiful mind," the song about my cat aslan. they should be up when i have more time...but for now, andy and i are off to make pancakes. okay, peace be with you - tbf

9/16/02 - "i just figured she was a raging alcoholic!!" - lloyd christmas
well, she wasn't...but brendon is (scorpion gang, boy!). as many of you know, last saturday was the plea for peace tour...as some of you know, jacob thies is superb. what you will most likely think is the most ridic thing you've ever heard is that he asked the keyboard / guitar player of the international noise conspiracy if he could give her a kiss on the cheek. true story. seriously. regretfully, she laughed it off & said no. anyway, there are many other good stories with brendon kelly (the lawnrence arms, the broadways, slapstick) where luke, andrew, and jacob formed a gang with him, but he will most likely not remember anything from that night, unfortunately. luke and andrew got to hug and talk to the lead singer of the noise conspiracy and jesse michaels (common rider, operation ivy). there's probably other stories, too, but i forget them for i could not attend. alright, enough of the bragging about how cool we are (but we are pretty cool, you have to admit). um, luke and i did a little more recording yesterday. we're nearing the halfway point to finishing it. it's sound really good so far, but problems may arise on how to get the good sound over to a computer to burn cds. in tbf II news, the new songs are coming along really well. we're all really excited about being able to play some shows again and unleash the new stuff (patience is a virute). site-wise, i updated the LINKS! section to fix a few broken links & add a band or two. anyhow, that's all the news i have for today. peace out - lukey & tbf

9/9/02 - "if a brain fart had a sound, a moog could make it"
well, i've got some good news today. joe and i worked long, hard hours yesterday afternoon to finish the drum tracks for entire album. this was a pretty large feat, because we saved all of the hardest songs for last (i.e. yesterday). the final song count is 23 (plus a few bonus tracks). i said 26 sometime before, but i must have been smoking crack that day (actually i simply miscounted, but smoking crack sounds much cooler). anyway, we're all looking forward to finishing it up. it's been crazy to do an undertaking this big (especially having to relearn the early trash--oops, i mean songs), but things will hopefully progress faster now that we have foundation for all of the songs to work with. i'm planning on designing a new site since sometime soon, but as most things come to pass with us, it'll probably be a while. "we don't have fans, we have friends." see you later, friends - tbf

9/1/02 - "manslaughta, i'm comin' fo yo daughta" - dj funk-flex of auto-l
"just when you thought we'd stop playing ska" is what i've found many of you were thinking after the last update. once again, don't fret! we're not really changing that much! more like evolving, or growing up if you will. anyway, this update is a follow-up on the promise of me keeping you all (read "ya'll" if from the south) updated of the drummer situation, recording & filler-word ("whatnot" will do just fine). so we're still drummer-less...not much has been done with that because we're still very busy, and what with school starting...sheesh. okay, for recording, luke and i have been laying down a few more tracks & making good progress. it's sounding pretty good so far, so that's always a plus (or a minus if it's opposite day). okay, as always, be excellent to each other, keep it real, stay postive & all that jazz. love, lukey & tbf

8/20/02 - "lady, he put my kids through college" - hot dog vendor guy
just when you thought we were dead...well, we're close. i guess sort of comatose for now. as most of you know, joe, our wonderful drummer is leaving tbf when school starts up again. this puts us in a pretty hairy predicament. no, we're not breaking up, but yes we are going to take things slow for a while. we have a few prospects in mind for drummers, but even when we do get a new one, it'll take time. i also have some news that might excite some of you, but will probably frighten most of you: we're chaning our sytle slightly. don't worry, we're not pulling an impossibles and cursing the name of ska, we're not going to stop playing our old songs (we still like them, too!), we're not turning emo, and basically, we're not turning anything. it's just that ska is a pretty narrow genre, and we feel that we've accomplished a lot using that style, but it's time to progress a bit. please welcome erin drain, our newest member, to the tbf roster. she's going to be rocking the cello for us. we're also looking for a violin player, and we will most likely be purchasing a moog for andy to play. i know this seems scary...and i just realized that i'm making it a lot scarier that it really is. so what will we sound more like? think ska + rock + a classical-sounding sting and brass section...well at least that's what i'm hoping to achieve. don't fret! the new songs will still rock, but they'll just be a tad different.

okay, enough of the scary talk, hahah. please, don't worry about what i just said, it'll be cool. anyway, recording is about 1/3 done. yes, i know we're idiot-faces...but we're busy idiot-faces. we're really not sure of a date yet or anything, but i'll keep you all updated on everything. in the MUSIC! section, i added lyrics for who are we fooling? and the mega-secret song. if you were present at phat joe's party, you would have found out that the mega-secret song was no less than DUNH DUNH DUNH trojan horse, no remorse II. you'll also see a box there for "a beautiful mind," a song about my genius cat on the MUSIC! page (which, by the way, didn't break another leg, just got in a cat fight). that'll be our first "newer" song with our "newer" style, but the lyrics aren't yet written for it.

now that i've written my first novel (this update), haha...no really. okay, thanks for checking in! i'll update as things progress. stay positive & live life, baby! - tbf

8/14/02 - "things that hurt when you touch them" - secret
okay, really really really terrible directions are up on the SHOWS! page for tonight. actually, that's really about all. i have no idea why i'm still writing this. goodbye - lukey

8/12/02 - "coke, coke, COKE!" - dj danger
well, there's semi-fabulous news today. we're playing phat joe's super-sad going away blowout this thursday at his house. we'll be playing at around 8:00. if it's okay with joe, i'll put up directions, but i haven't really talked to him in person about it yet (hey joe!). anyway, we've got two new songs to debut--one being the mega-secret song that'll be sure to please, and the other being "who are we fooling?" which we still don't really have learned...but oh well. we definitely hope to see you there! stay postitive - tbf

8/1/02 - "nonsense, poopypants!" - ace ventura
just a little update to let everyone know what's going on. we haven't been able to meet as a full band to discuss the happenings & whatnot, but we plan to do that soon. we'll most likely be staying together, but will probably evolve our sound if we do. recording is still going slowly. we have almost all of the drum tracks done, and have started on the bass. once we get working on it, it'll all come together, though. anyhow, thanks for checking in! - tbf

7/22/02 - sorry
so, it's been almost three weeks since i updated and for that i apologize. i have surprising and bad news: joe, our drummer will be leaving us this fall. good news is that we'll still finish recording the album (now at 26 songs), but after that a lot is still up in the air. we're really not sure if we'll look for a new drummer because joe will be hard to replace. on the other hand, the rest of us aren't ready to call it quits...we'll see what happens. anyway, recording is going pretty well for us. we started over & have the best sound yet, so that's good. be expecting it early september. well, that was probably the hardest update i had to make yet. hopefully we'll work through it all somehow. stay positive (that goes for me too, hahah) - lukey & tbf

7/5/02 - "yeah, all the good ones end in 'o'!" - michaelangelo
well hello there! it's been a while, and for somewhat of a good reason. summer always teases us with thoughts of no school, and thus plenty of free time...summer, my friends, is a dirty liar. we've all been really busy, but have still gotten a few good practices in. i can honestly say that we're sounding better now than ever before, and are taking a better approach to learning our new songs. speaking of which, one is "who are we fooling?" and the other is still mega-super-secret. both are pretty crazy & technical, but still rock hard (i.e. we're proud of them & can't wait to play them at shows). lyrics will be up when we (andrew, luke, and lukey) return next sunday from mexico. don't worry, we're feeling it too--we need a show. hopefully, we'll get one booked soon. anyhow, we love you! have a great week & stay positive! - lukey & tbf

6/25/02 - "i just hope he's not a cannibal this time" - king jupiter, son of alf
thanks for two cool shows this last weekend. although both were parties, they were extremely fun! in travel news, our future trombone player erin drain is in spain for the next month; jacob is in tennessee at a basketball camp; luke, andrew and i are going to mexico july 6-13th; and adrew and jacob leave for maine sometime late july for a week. given all of this, we're going to somehow record and hopefully fit a show or two in. i think that's it. stay positive! - lukey

6/21/02 - "it sounded like...and explosion!" - down periscope
alright, directions are up for waynestock tonight in the SHOWS! section. also, you'll probably notice that the locks of love show is no longer up. that's because i just found out that three of us are going to be in sunny mexico that week building iglesias. i know that we haven't exactly had the most going on lately (as far as merch, cds, getting better), but just rest assured on these three words: we're working on it. anyhow, this weekend's shows should be fun, so we hope to see you there! - tbf

6/7/02 - "mabye i'll give you a call sometime. your number still 911?" - ace ventura
hey hey you rotten bananas! the SHOWS! page was finally updated with directions & some other stuff that needed--well, updating. oh yes, "energy" is now up on mp3.com, also. you can find the link on the MUSIC! page for that. the mp3 isn't great, but the real file sounds pretty good. expect "bob ross" or "i guess not" to be ready soon, too! that covers it, i believe. oh yes, horns, don't forget about practice on saturday! stay positive - tbf

6/4/02 - "feast on the grapes" - olaf
hello all. bad bad news is son of alf can't play at the 15th :( good news is that our new song "who are we fooling?" is coming along slowly but surely. we're still working hard with our new horn section additions, and hopefully you'll be able to hear a few songs with them by our next show. i have a few other minor SHOWS! page updates, but they can wait! anyhow, we love you always - tbf

6/12/02 - "irregardless" - johnny
okay friends, geekvan is now playing at the big old show this saturday. it should be a great time! we'll have more horn power than usual, so that should be great, too. anyway, i'm tired & have a test in the morn, so i'll see you guys around! stay positive - lukey

5/24/02 - "it's like we're looking down on wayne's basement...only that's not wayne's basement!" - garth
hey! for show news, the show on june 8th is good to go, and the locks of love show got moved again. i'll know on tuesday if the june 15th show with the know how, 69 fingers, and son of alf will work out at the warehouse, so i'll let you know what happens with that. expect a mini MISC! update next time i put news, also. there's going to be a big old horn ho-down this saturday, so jacob, alex, erin, and kevin--shine that brass! - lukey

5/20/02 - "500 dollars! who painted this--mozart?" - jacob, jesting at the art depot
well, we did it. three shows in one day. thanks to everyone who came to the shows, and to the promoters for helping it to work out. even though we sounded pretty poor without the full band, we really appreciate everyone who complimented us after the shows. playing so badly never felt so good, haha. anyhow, as you can see in SHOWS!, we have another month-long show drought coming up. there's a possibility of a june 8th show, so we'll let you know what's going to happen with that. more good news is we have a renewed dedication to finally getting our cd done. our two year birthday is coming up soon, and to not have any recordings out is a travesty. anyhow, thanks as always for checking in & stay positive! - tbf

5/16/02 - "well, 'sorry' doesn't put the triscuit crackers in my stomach" - eric
good news! not only was practice good, it was also fun...we really should do that more often (ha). anyhow, all the info is up for the shows this weekend, so we'll hopefully see you there! since this update is boring, visit bwomp. it has some of the funniest things ever on there (my favorite is the bad pickup lines), and it's created by our awesome friend john. alrighty, see you this weekend! - tbf

5/13/02 - "your name is harry, isn't it?" - lloyd
well, this weekend's certainly going to be interesting, that's for sure! it's been about three weeks since we've practiced (schedule difficulties), and we have three sequential shows this saturday. needless to say, 'twil be crazy. directions are up for all three shows, or you could just tag along with us between them (the combined price for all three is only $8.oo). regretfully again, we won't have a full band, as andrew and jacob have "ungetaroundable" things to do. if we're lucky (and if you're lucky, hahah), we'll get a much-needed practice in sometime before the shows & refine the sloppyjoe/lazy factor that infected us all. oh yeah, do us a favor and sign the guestbook or message board or something...your silence is making me feel insecure! peace be with you - tbf

5/8/02 - "we were totally lied to by our album covers" - ted
pics from the cancel out cancer show are up in PICS! i also tidied up the PICS! page and past shows page (in SHOWS! section), so they now look a little nicer. SHOWS! is also updated with one new show. with summer coming up, we're hoping to get a lot more recording done, and have the album out before the end of summer. after that, we'll hopefully have money to get more merch. i guess patience is a virtue, but why does it have to take so long, hahah. alrighty, see you guys around! - lukey
5/7/02 - "i'm getting whiplash from my burps, eh" - strange brew
the camden show was pretty rad. thanks to madelynn for setting it up. about $450 was raised for american cancer society, so that's truly noble of everyone who came & supported it. LINKS! has been updated with a few new links, and that's about it. there's some more show possibilities that are coming up, so we'll let you know when stuff happens. thanks for checking in! stay positive - tbf

5/3/02 - "yeah, camden isn't richwood" - john
hey! check SHOWS! for the latest info for the cancel out cancer benefit show this saturday. we haven't practiced since our last show, so the new songs will most likely still be sloppy (get use to it, hahah). anyhow, hopefully we'll see you there! - tbf

4/30/02 - "cool story hansel!" - olaf
hey there! it was great seeing a lot of familiar faces at the show last saturday. it was a right fine time. thanks to the other bands and to no regrets for putting it on. we apologize for the sloppy factor of the new songs at the show. expect improvement, and more horns soon enough (we sure hope). our next show is this saturday for the cancel out cancer benefit. minimal info is up for that in the SHOWS! page. hopefully, i'll have some minor details such as directions and when we're playing (please note sarcasm) soon enough. also, an exciting show with the know how from florida is forming, and will hopefully happen if we get off our lazy tookus' and book the darn hobo hall (luke?). more info on that, and other things soon enough. until next time! stay positive - tbf

4/26/02 - "you're the kind of guy i could really dig......A GRAVE FOR!" - mr. burns
final info is up for the show this saturday. i guess we're still not sure of the new songs we're playing yet, but we'll probably play 3 or 4 out of 5. we're opening the show, so get there on time if you wanted to catch us. remember, for directions, simply click the venue's name for the show you want them for (note that i only have directions for this saturday's venue up now). alright, see you there! - tbf

4/22/02 - "...because it strangles your neck with flavor" - john
not much new today...but that never stopped me before! we had a good practice on saturday & also got some more recording done. the new songs are still being worked on a lot, so we're not sure which ones we'll be playing at the show this saturday. i guess we'll determine that after next practice (which is slated for wednesday afternoon, don't forget). peace - tbf

4/18/02 - "my farts don't smell" - erin
i'll have to ease this news in so you won't go into shock...are you ready? i updated the MISC! page [readers gasp, then vomit from disbelief], although it's not quite done yet as some of the pics are a little sloppy. more good news is that the SHOWS! page has once again been updated with more shows and info. and that about wraps it up! stay positive - lukey

4/16/02 - "we just totally lugied on those good dead us's" - evil ted
sorry if the quote's not verbatim, as it was all by memory. the dance is on with show dates; they keep getting shuffled around. check the SHOWS! page for all that shabang. there's a probability of more shows coming too, so check back for that! recoring progress has halted due to people being gone this last weekend, but we're hoping to get back on it soon. there's a lot of work that i need to get done, so hopefully i'll get around to doing it...altough it may just get pushed back to summer. hm...that's probably it. practice wednesday! stay positive - tbf

4/11/02 - "i just wanted attention..." - grandpa simpson
the dirty larry cd release show has been postponed to a later, undefined date, so that's been removed from the SHOWS! page for now. the lyrics for the new rad song "epiphanies r us" are up on the MUSIC! page. you might also notice the "super-secret song" box, and that's where the lyrics will be going up for our new mega-secret song. speaking of which, "new song" is a term used frequently used now. if you haven't seen us recently (which is probable since we haven't had shows), you haven't heard any of them. just to let you know, our official "new songs" are: utopia: under construction, 1231-1231-123, perfect life (new), the truth, epiphanies r us, and the undisclosed secret song. we should be playing all but the secret song next show, so that will be fun. thanks for checking in - tbf

4/8/02 - "is it okay if i call you 'matil?'" - hansel
you can disregard my funbook entry, as i did get around to finishing the SHOWS! page with our new shows. we've got a lot coming up now, so it's finally something to look forward to...altough it has been good to not have as many shows the last two months, since we've learned five new songs. another new one (that may be ready for the show on the 27th) was finished on sunday. it's called "epiphanies r us" and is sort of like the chinkees meets the impossibles meets reggae, meets...us (or something like that). we're concentrating now on getting the 22 plus song demo done, and then we should finally have the time and money to finally get some new merchandise...although that may not be for a while. i think covers it! stay positive - tbf

4/5/02 - "in the water, i am beautiful" - kurt vonnegut
hey hey rock fans! having almost finished recording a song, we realized that the mix could've been better & that we recorded everything WAY too loud. to make a short story, er...short, we're going to keep on working on our guinea pig song, "i guess not," until we get a good mix. as soon as we acccomplish that, things should move much more quickly. there are a few possible shows that we might be playing, but nothing is certain. i'll post it up here when i find out. practice next @ 1:00ish on saturday. be there or eat at alex's house...you know where i'll be--rice anyone? - lukey

4/1/02 - put april fools day lie here
and then say "APRIL FOOLS" here. hopefully we'll get some more recording done this week, and maybe even get another song on mp3.com soon. we're having a firehouse show either the 20th or the 27th, and another show at the pontiac grille on may 11th. info on those when they're confirmed. um...it looks like practice on tuesday night next (around 8:00ish). thanks for checking in! stay positive - tbf

3/29/02 - "curiosity salted the snail" - spongebob
show update: april 6th show isn't happening, but hopefully april 20th will. we have a possible show with no regrets & others april 13th (thank you to kevin & zach for that), so i'll keep you posted. site update: nothing...i know i'm an idiot-faced slacker. i still need to get around to that MISC! update, but i'm still waiting on joe's funny hair pictures. if i ever get around to it, i'm trying to write a music background for the ABOUT! page, and a show recap for every show...what's that saying--"shoot for the moon. if you miss you'll still be an idiot." you gotta love motivation, baby! hey you band rats: don't forget that we have derek's birthday party tonight. meet at my house tonight around 8:00ish. nice! catch you all later - lukey

3/27/02 - "eeewwwwwwoooooaaahhhhhh" - jacob
not a whole lot new today...recording is still...going, that's for sure. hopefully we'll be able to get my stinkin' distorion pedal back so that we can finally finish a few songs. joe and i did a song count yesterday, and if we put everything on there (well even that won't be everything...but at least everything we've ever played at a show, plus the new ones), there'll be 22 songs. a song list is just what's in the MUSIC! section (yes, everything...[shivers]), and the two other new ones: "me strippped of everything" and the mega-secret song. there's been rumors of a few shows coming up, so those'll hopfully all come to pass. practice today @ 4:15. jacob & alex, i'll give you guys a call - lukey

3/25/02 - "urinal cake eroding...ERODING...GONE!" - homer
spirits are up here in tbf land. we had a fun & practice-filled weekend where we accomplished much. we finished our newest song, "the truth," so that feels good. close behind that song should be two more new ones: "me stripped of everything" a sort of part II to "the truth"...long story which i'll explain when i put the lyrics up; and a mega-secret song that i'm not sure if i have band-authorized clearance to disclose yet...just know that it's going to be like mcdonalds ketchup--extra fancy (ba-dum, ching). site-wise, the only featured attractions are the lyrics for "the truth," found in the MUSIC! section. recording is going great, also. it's going to take a while...but hopefully it'll be worth it. we've still got to put my guitar track & horns parts down and it already sounds pretty rad. i'll get the stuff on mp3.com as soon as we can. show situation is still sketchy...we have a birthday party show this friday, and a firehouse show either april 6th or 13th, so that'll be most excellent. i think i've hit it all. thanks for checking in! stay positive - tbf

3/22/02 - "for as we all know, money can't buy knives" - iggy, surf ninjas
i actually put this update up about an hour before friday, so if you got your hopes up and thought that time was distorted and that the distortion was possibly going to erase time's inescable bonds..............i'm sorry. anyhow, we've started recording (if only the drum tracks) our monsterous 20+ song demo...i'm not even sure if we should call it a demo anymore, but oh well. we're excited to finally be recording again and it sounds pretty good so far, too. next practice will be roughly 2:00 saturday afternoon. alex / jacob, give me call if you guys need a ride. oh yeah, and jacob, is cheffrey's still happening tomorrow? let me know if you can. alrighty, i'll see you rads later - lukey

3/19/02 - "is it number 1 or number 2? ... just so i know how much time i have!" - ace ventura
hey there! i got around to updating the shows page with some info on the cancel out cancer benefit. more show info is that the feared has come to pass with the unity through music show, joining the ranks of the bunny benefit III: it has been postponed until summer. unfortunately, the cancel out cancer show isn't until may, so i'm going to see if i can get the firehouse for a saturday afternoon sometime soon. recording info: we haven't had a lot of time to figure everything out, but we should hopefully have a song done pretty soon. as for the songs that are going to be on it, we just thought, "hey, why not put everything on there?" and we most likely will. even though we never play a lot of our older stuff at shows, if we don't record them now, they'll probably never get done. two new songs are on their way also. one is fast & is more reminiscent of our older style, and the second is completely bizarre and has one million plus parts to it. figuring that we learn both of these songs (and the rest of the band doesn't kill me for the second one being so differnt), we're looking at about 20 songs. hopefully it'll all come to pass (except the killing part), and we'll have an extra-fancy full-lenght on it's way. cross your fingers (but don't hold your breath, hahah) - lukey & tbf

3/15/02 - silver lining
hey hey! i've got better news for this update. unbeknownst to me, we were scheduled to play the cancel out cancer benefit with about 2.14x10[6 other bands on may 4th (i think). so i'll have full info on that up very soon. i hope everyone had a happy and math-filled pi day yesterday (i know i did, hahaha). thanks to kenny for the reminder. some other good news is that joe and i finally fooled around with the digital recorder and his huge (or "uge") mixing board and we're excited because the sound quality was pretty good. the demo is coming...if however slowly it might be. since we haven't practiced in forever, i don't have any more news about our new songs...but we should be finishing on our new stuff soon. speaking of practice, i'm thinking saturday at about 4:30, and sunday at about 1:00. be there or be a dingleberry. stay positive & be excellent to each other - lukey

3/11/02 - most non--non-non--non-heinous news
having recently talked to the promoters of our next two shows, i found that 1. the bunny benefit III is definitely cancelled because of venue problems, and 2. the unity through music II show is cancelled unless a miraculous venue can be found. semi-good news is we have a birthday party show march 29th (unfortunately it's invitation only). i've been told that both shows will probably happen sometime in june after school's out, so we'll have something to look forward to in our bleak showless world. darn...why can't there be good news? well...i'll fabricate something: we're really good! - tbf

3/8/02 - i hate black jellybeans
following the rad tradition of updates past, i'll just ramble about nothing. the show outlook is grim, as the trusty vfw has been shut down, so if any kind soul can hook us up, we'll love you forever. we haven't gotten started on recording yet, but we should soon, so that should rock (long-awaitedly). as always, stay postive - tbf

3/6/02 - "SHUT UP, TED!" - bill
i am feeling rather sick, so if this is really incoherent, don't hold it against me. the rumor is true that the westmont vfw was closed down due to bad occurrances at the last show there, but it is false that our next two shows are cancelled. the promoters are trying to find new venues, and if they can't find one, then they probably will be cancelled or postponed. but have no fear! music will (most likely not) prevail! for site work, andy and i (lukey) have new bios up, and that's about it. there's a lot of work that i need to do on the site, so i'm sorry about that. maybe i'll get to it soon! there's not going to be practice this weekend, i fear, so maybe we can work on horns & keys again. thanks for checking in - lukey

2/27/02 - "...and we combust; out of this popsicle stand" - piebald
yes, a piebald double-whammy today. why? because they rock. after a faboo (or good) practice last night, we decided that we're only going to be playing two of the new three songs at the show this saturday: "utopia: under construction" and "1231-1231-123" the song we're holding out on is the new version of "perfect life" mostly because it has a lot of parts & is rather confusing. 'twas also a good day yesterday because andy and i came to the conclusion that horns weren't for him, and that the keyboard would be a much better instrument. this'll add a new dimension to our songs, so we're hoping for the best. more news on that later (i.e. after it happens). as for everything else, remember, "be excellent to each other" - rufus. see you guys saturday - tbf

2/26/02 - "and he loves...he loves san dimas!" - ted "theodore" logan
if you read my guestbook update yesterday, you know about what's going on: nothing. we do have a show this saturday which we're happy about (mostly because we haven't played a show for two stinkin' months), so come out and dance! at least two new songs should be debuted, and if practice goes well tonight, maybe all three songs. speaking of practice, it got moved to 8:00 instead of 6:30...give me a call alex or jacob if you need a ride. stay positive - lukey

2/21/02 - "excuse me, is your corndog delicious?" - erika
hey! great news is that i just bought a digital track recorder. we're hoping to finally get a demo (or maybe a full lenght if we can change fate) out within the next while, so i'll let you know about that a.s.a.p. the MISC! section update i've been promising is coming closer to completion now because the other set of pics that i was waiting for are now developed...it'll be golden. the three new songs are nearing completion also (minus some incredibly hard horn parts and the fact that they're still terribly sloppy) so they might all be out by our show on the 2nd. we'll see...ah yes! next practice shall hopefully be this saturday (and possibly sunday also), so let me know if you guys can make it. posiska! - tbf

2/14/02 - "this is like so good for your calves!" - michaelangelo, TMNT III
this one's short today. LINKS! has a few new (you guessed it!) links, and SHOWS! has minimal info for our newest show. there's been a dirty rumor of a dirty cd release party for dirty larry that we may be playing. more info when i get it. for very very good news, i'm in the process of buying a digital track recorder, so we should finally be able to get some sort of demo out soon. i'll keep you posted. thanks for checking in! - tbf

2/6/02 - "welcome to my world, or should i say this world of snakes" - the aquabats
i finally, finally, finally, (sorry, it's taken me a while) got directions up to the shows in westmont, and added lyrics for "utopia: under construction" and "1231-1231-123" in the MUSIC section. directions work a little differently now. instead of me posting them on the SHOWS! page, i put them in the local shows section of our message board. there's now a link to the topic under the VENUE! column on the SHOWS! page. it makes it easier for me, and it helps keep the site tidier! i have a few pics for a long-awaited MISC! update (thanks erin), but i'm going to wait until sarah's pictures get developed and do a mega-MISC! update. it'll make you laugh so much that you'll vomit. in disappointing news, we're not playing the this saturday, but thanks a lot to twitch for offering. i've also been wanting to redo my bio for about forever, so i may have that done soon. it seems that we're plagued with arguments on our books, so please at least try to be constructive so that things can maybe be worked out...that goes for both sides, too :) thanks as always for checking in...and don't worry, we'll get a show somtime (crosses fingers)! - tbf

2/3/02 - "holme" - luke banana
happy belated birthday to rad jacob. he turned 16, but more importantly, the saying "act your age, not your shoe size" finally applies to him since he is now 16, and his shoe size still remains a 15 (subject to change without notice). a rumor of a show on saturday has been whispered, but i'm not sure about if we can make it yet. i'll post it as soon as i do find out, though. no site work again today...laziness is big. also, the guestbook got bombed recently, so i'd appreciate it if people wouldn't use it as a medium to make fun of people. thanks. alrighty, stay postitive! - tbf

1/24/02 - "yes satan? oh, i'm sorry. i thought you were somebody else." - ace ventura
yo, yo! the unity through music show was pushed back a week to april 13th. i'm really hoping to get some new crazy pictures for the MISC! section, so check back for that. since our next show is so darnly far away, we'll probably have three new songs to debut. lyrics and stuff will be up when i am less lazy (possibly never). um...practice next on saturday @ 4:30! -lukey

1/22/02 - a lot of nothing
hey! nothing's really that new except that the warehouse show was cancelled because the venue is unexpectedly closed! it looks like we'll have to find a new awesome venue...but we probably won't find one as cool as it. anyhow, we haven't been putting on shows a lot recently, so i want to maybe rent a VFW or something soon. the LINKS! page was slightly worked on, and a the unity through music show was added to SHOWS!. since march 23rd is oh so far away, i'm really going to try to get a show soon because we all have show withdrawal (seriously). hopefully the old (slow) version of 7 deadly will be on mp3.com soon, so check back for that! until next time - tbf

1/18/02 - "but bill, those are historical babes" - ted "theodore" logan
hey hey! happy friday to all. again, my laziness endureth, so SHOWS! still has no info or directions...but fear not! my will shall conquer (hopefully). anyhoo, practice saturday at 4:30 sharp! it'll be quality. oh yeah, i'll put lyrics up to "utopia: under constuction" up soon also. peace out! - lukey

1/17/02 - frankenstein doesn't sell petunias
hello! i'm much too lazy to update the shows page, so i'll just put it here for now. we're playing the bunny benefit III on march 23rd with many a' local bands, and sometime in april for the unity through music II show. both should rock hard, and i'll get more info on those soon. as you can see, the home page changed format a bit, but i still don't really like it...if it changes about 782 more times, don't be surprised. anyhoo, the real reason for this entire update was to somehow incorporate jacob's bizarre cat drawing, so this is all basically just (really thick and rich) icing on the cake (the kind that makes you want to vomit if you eat too much of it). why did i write any of this, anyway? - lukey

1/15/02 - fond farewell
goodbye to south jersey ska greats the berserk postal clerks. they had their last show this past saturday, and they will be missed! the banana factor loves you always!

in site news, SHOWS! is half-updated with a new show, and there's two more coming that i know of for sure. we've also been thinking seriously about trying to do a live recording in my basement because we've constantly proven that we're too slackeresque to succeed in the studio. it's taken us 6 months to complete three songs (sorry ete!). if it sounds up to par (fortunately par is really high for us, hahah) we'll try to get them on mp3.com or a demo cd or something like that. żĦwhat's this!? A NEW SONG? yup, we're finally learning a new song. it's called "utopia: under construction," and we're all pretty pleased with how it's turning out so far. it should be ready by next show! alrighty, stay postive! - tbf

1/10/02 - guess hoof hard ted (again!)
i've been slowly doing some more site work. pages might look different now because i've been redesigning everything so that things will look good with a smaller resolution setting. so far, ABOUT!, LINKS!, MERCH!, MUSIC!, SHOWS!, PICS!, and EMAIL!, old news, and past shows are done. i still need to do HOME!, MISC!, and the individual bio pages. anyhow, i heard that there's going to be a BPC show this saturday with the mall punx and fit to fail. i'll post info on the message board when i get more. next practice on saturday! cool, i'll see you guys around! - lukey

1/7/02 - update!
many apologies for my lack of work on the site lately. i'm hoping to get a bunch of stuff improved soon. we're in desperate need of a MISC! update! LINKS!, and past shows (in SHOWS! section) have been updated. other than that, i'm hoping to get a new banner picture, and some new margin pics to change things up bit. big thanks to rich who put together yesterday's show, to the few who came to see us, and to the great bands that played! we have no shows as of right now, but we're taking this opportunity to finally practice (it's been over a month) and to hopefully learn a few new songs (it's been over 6 months, hahaha). until next time - tbf

12/24/01 - ho ho ho, happy christmas
sorry for the lack o' updates...things have been pretty busy/hectic around here. anyway, nothing really newsworthy has happened except for the fact that it's the eve of christmas. tomorrow will be golden (i hope). have a safe & happy christmas! - tbf

12/19/01 - operation wallpaper
that's right, i finally made flyer's for our two c-razy shows next weekend. they're uploaded on the site, so if anyone wants to do us a HUGE favor, you could print a few out and post them around. they can be found here for the 28th show, and here for the 29th show. i think that be all for today! school's out for a month for me, so i could not be happier. christmas countdown: 6 days boyee! - lukey

12/17/01 - all is fandango!
i hope everyone's doing well out there in banana land. this last weekend was much fun, but extremely tiring! we had two shows, and very little sleep in between them. we're off next weekend for shows, but have two awesome ones on the 28th and 29th, so make sure you check those out! if you don't read our message board, you probably didn't see that calie regretfully had to leave tbf. she's been mega-busy with school & other stuff, and didn't have a lot of free time. everthing's cool, though! i'll most likely be making a new banner soon, and updating the ABOUT! section. alrighty, that's all! stay positive! - tbf

12/16/01 - good news!
this is really crazy, but we just got asked to play at that INSANE ska show on the 28th of december. it's with great bands mostly from around here. i'm not positive that we're playing it yet, but i think we are. i'll let you know when i do. thanks to effervescent, coiled, and dusk for the cool show on saturday. it was a good time. um...i might do another update tonight, but i have much work to do with school, so we'll see. thanks especially to dan and dom for making the show incredibly funny! see you guys next time! - lukey

12/14/01 - dirty larry mp3's are up!
hey ya'll (ohh...i feel dirty now). make sure to check out dirty larry's rad mp3's! they rock. MUSIC! is coming along with layout changes. if you're one of the people that i promised flyers to last night, i'm sorry, but i didn't get around to it...i know, i'm a bump on a lazy log. i see some of you tonight, and hopefully a lot of you tomorrow at eugene's! rock on! - lukey

12/12/01 - i wish Music GEM Guy would sign our guestbook
late update today. all of the info for this saturday's show is up in SHOWS!, MUSIC! now has pop-up windows for lyrics and backgrounds of the songs, and its layout will be changed to get rid of that horrific collage picture that i once thought was so cool. oh well! there's a posibility that we might be playing the rad kicked in the head show tons of great local bands; i'll keep you posted on that. practice tomorrow @ 6:30! stay postive! - lukey & tbf

12/11/01 - quickie
hey! i got a call from the fine folks at eugene's today, and they want us to play this saturday night. i need to know if you guys can make the show by TONIGHT, so call me! cool. oh yeah, our mp3's (despite they're not perfect quality) are still going up on the charts, so if you're ever bored, just go on over and stream them so we can keep our count up! you guys rock - tbf

12/10/01 - i'm not sure whether to laugh or cry
okay, so mp3's are up...but i've got a lot of bad feedback about how they sound. i just wanted to say that the recording was really rushed and our horn players are still trying to catch up with the rest of the band, so i'm sorry that they didn't turn out great...all i can say is come to our shows! hopefully, we'll be getting a track recorder so we can record ourselves and work at our own pace. thanks to the three or four people that came to the eugene's show for us (we love you), and thanks to the birthday party show crowd for making the show REALLY fun. see you guys around - tbf

12/04/01 - we don't have fans, we have friends
and friends you all are to us! erin's birthday was so rad...all of you that were there can attest to that. i finally did the site work that i promised. two buddy icons are up in MISC!, MERCH! has our new stuff and a new layout, and SHOWS! has another show this friday that will be interesting to say the least. the mp3.com page still isn't up, but you can check the below link every once in a while...it should be any day now. hm...that's it, i think! have a wonderful tuesday - tbf

11/29/01 - boy, do i love to tease!
hey you rock and roll fans! mp3's should be up soon, yay! it'll take a few days before mp3.com will host them, but you can try the link, www.mp3.com/thebananafactor, as it's very possible that it'll be up before i do the next update. as usual, no real updates, hahah...even the click to enter pic will be there until i find a better one (i.e. forever). chef chun roolz. oh yeah, the party tonight should be fun, and i'll see a lot of you there! (son of alf...*weeps*) lukey

11/28/01 - teaser update
that's right, all of the things i promised in last update aren't aren't up yet...but a new show is! it's not for a month away, but my grandad always says, "the longer you wait, the better it tastes!"...that really only refers to food, but you get the idea. jacob, i need to know when / if you can record tomorrow night! let me know. see you guys around! lukey

11/26/01 - "show or no show, you don't need this ho" - jacob, referring to himself
i started this update with every intention of updating the MISC! page (with buddy icons), the MERCH! page (cool pins just got in!), and other site work, but the lazy bug bit me again, and i only got around to taking last saturday's show off the SHOWS! page. speaking of which, we had an awesome time playing with dirty larry at peace a' pizza. thanks to the friends who came to the show, we always appreciate seeing your gap-toothed, cotton-pickin' faces (joke...joke!). after listening to the first part of our demo, i think i'm going to make mp3's out of them, so we might finally have them on mp3.com or something pretty soon. hm...i think that about covers it! POSISKA! - tbf

11/21/01 - it was bad while it lasted
but www.thebananafactor.com will be out of comission soon only because namezero is terrible! i had to quit that so i could eventually get a real server using that .com address. i just realized that tomorrow is thanksgiving...i don't know how i forgot, but i am happy now! thanks to luke martin and his artistic wonder for the new front image. we have a lot of new ideas for merchandise, so we'll hopefully get more stuff out to you guys soon! PICS! has a few more pictures from our last two shows that emily took (thanks!), and SHOWS! has directions and final info for the radical show this saturday. hopefully, i'll get some more stuff in MISC! and maybe i'll even do MERCH! update soon, because that page looks like garbage! okay, i think that's it! see you at the parlor! - tbf

11/16/01 - moving on
yay! it's friday--again! i finally did a site update, so SHOWS! has a tad more info and PICS! has some of the pics from the last two shows. you'll also find that i took off the old guestbook pages because of lack of space on these cursed free sites...which brings me to me next point: www.thebananafactor.com works, but it just takes you to this page for now. i'm going to hopefully get a real server with no ads, because they pop up on almost every page now. sorry about that. um...i think that's it. oh yes, don't forget about recording tonight, jacob and alex! cool, i'll see you guys later. luke(y)

11/12/01 - apology...accepted?
speaking of songs that stink and we no longer play, let me give an official "i'm sorry" to the bands that we were supposed to play with on this saturday's show...it was a bad decision of mine that snowballed into a big problem. effervescent and nepotism: i am sorry. :(
in other news, fabulous pins and stickers are now on their way, new pics will be up soon (i promise this time!), and the demo is...you know...coming sometime. until then, stay positive, have fun, live life, eat at chef chun's. lukey & the rest o' tbf.

11/09/01 - putting the emo back in demo
actually...no. not at all. erase that from your memory. the demo is coming along. that's about all i can say about it. SHOWS! has some new stuff, MISC! is updated, and PICS! will be updated as soon as i get emily's pics from the last two shows (thanks emily!). it's friday, which is wonderful. remember, tomorrow is chef chun / warehouse / star wars night! be there, or have long hairy toes. hahah, see you there. lukey

11/06/01 - "everyone needs bananas" - fat larry
okay, anyway, we're getting stuff a little more together as far as merchandise now. hopefully, our demo will be finished within the next week, pins are coming along nicely, real stickers should be in soon, new patches are out, and i think we're getting shirts soon, too. SHOWS! has one new show that we're playing with pitman hard rock band effervescent, and someone else that we forget. info will be up shortly. there's also a good chance that we're playing a show the night before (11/16/01) at a battle o' the bands at GCIT, but i'll find out for sure before i post it up. IMPORTANTE FOR JOE: ete said it is good to record tonight. if you can, leave me a message at home to say if you could or not. it'd be after 9:00...bring sarah with you! that way the demo would be almost done, yay-sh! cool, see you guys around! lukey

11/04/01 - luke told me a ridiculously funny quote to put here...but i forgot it
once again, you guys proved your excellence at saturday's show. it was our first time on a real stage, and although we wished we were down closer to the crazy pit action (except the fighting...i wouldn't touch that with a 6 foot wart-covered anthrax probe pole), it was a fun experience. oh yeah, and luke requested the pic of jacob's hair (sackcloth and ashes) be put up again. any ideas for new magic cards, anyone? i'm fresh out! after practice today, things are looking great for our recording. i think we'll have horns in almost all of the songs, which means more horns at the shows, which just plain means more horns (which is a great feeling for us). SHOWS! will be updated soon with more c-razy shows for your (and our!) pleasure. until then, stay gold. lukey oh yeah, sorry about all of these crazy pop-up ads...does anyone know of a cheap server?

11/01/01 - what the, real news?!
that's right, we hope to get back in the studio next week, and finish recording our demo! thanks to trashy teacher's conventions, many of us have off school next week. we plan to use that time to eat chinese food...and record. jacob and awleeeh, make sure to practice those horn parts for alone...again, and 7 deadly, i guess not, and my never-ending quest. i think that we're still planning on 5 songs, but we'll see what happens. REMEMBER: this saturday's show should be off the hook, so get as MANY people to come as possible. BPC wants the place madphat-packed. it should be crazy! you rock.

10/29/01 - thanks!
thanks to everyone that came to our show on saturday. it was a blast of milky way-esque proportions (and not the candy bar, hehehahahoho). i saw some flashes that i hope were from cameras, so if anyone is willing to send me some pictures, we would love it! i think that javier of township won the halloween costume contest, because it was definitely the most creative. carpet man, i salute you. i'll give you our demo if it ever is finished, ________ (insert nervous laughter here). i updated SHOWS! with info on another specatular show this saturday, and the mega-mysterious birthday party of erin drain's. we're working on some more merch, so that'll hopefully be done soon (hint, hint to luke and el saltine). stay positive! lukey

10/27/01 - excellent
hey all! the show's still on for tonight, and it should be extra fandango. wear your costumes if you feel like it! the son of alfred show was superb last night...they rock. um...i think the show starts at 7:30, to clear up any confusion that there might be. also, the most marvelous berserk postal clerks just invited us to play their halloween show on november 3rd (thank you!) with fit to fail, so i'll have more info on that soon! alright, see you guys tonight.

10/24/01 - "i wish i was a janitor, so i could have my choice of MOP's"
jacob, javier, andrew, erin, chris, and whoever else that's involved with the weekly dress schedule, please email me, or sign the funbook about which days are what, becuase i'm going to put it up on the site, so people know what's up! hahah, if you don't know yet about old-school wednesdays, just wait! anyway, i guess no one cared to put their name for #10000, so that means more diamond bracelets for me. there's really no news, i was just mega-bored. don't forget the son of alf show this friday, and our show on saturday! both shows will be utopian, so don't miss them. luker

10/22/01 - "i hate your poop shoe" - sarah
for your delight, MISC!, PICS!, and LINKS! are updated with some new stuff. the PICS! page actually just has a few more pics from older shows (thanks jenel). um...just letting everyone know that we do have more shows coming up, but none are confirmed yet. i'm almost positive that we'll be playing erin drain's birthday party, a benefit show, a show at GCIT, and a show on december 8th, so stuff is on the way! the show this saturday should be extra fandango, we can't wait! oh yeah, um...to the person who's lucky number 10000: sign your name in the guestbook, and we'll bring some cool stuff for you next show...well, at least semi-cool (sorry, we're poor)! no cheating, now! hahah, okay have fun! lukey

10/15/01 - guest hoof hard ted
i guess a lot's been going on...it's all a blur anymore. first off, let me say that the birthday party was really fun for all. it was a much-needed confidence-builder after the atrocity that was last sunday's dtp show. we sounded good, but my distortion pedal decided to break right before the show, so i had to switch back to good old "metal maniac." it sounded like trash, unfortunately...but then at practice today, it sounded wonderful...it figures, hahaha. i'm sure jacob and joe's dreams came true sunday night as they got to play with BPC (botched?) to fill in for their missing members...it was great! i had to do a bad SHOWS! page update today, i.e. taking off a show. we can't play the full circle show because joe's parent's forget to mention trips out of state to him until it's too late...poop on that. we've reached another good level in our music...we've again decided to try to make everything sound better, and perfect our songs, horns and all! it's a good step, since we mostly just want to have fun at shows, and usually end up sounding terrible, hahah. i promise that no energy will be lost in this transition, though! anyway, we only have one definite show now, so if anyone has a need of a desperate band, we're there! stay postive, luke(y)

10/11/1 - "fun for the whole family" - fifteen
hey all! SHOWS! has a new show in it (clever, eh?), and PICS! has some more crazy pics that emily took from the show on the 29th. don't worry about that newfangled pic on the opening page, magic cards will rule supreme next update. i'm going to get to a big update soon...i haven't forgotten! hahah, okay, see everyone later. lukey

10/04/01 - "it's equal mass displacement!" - donatello, tmnt III
for all of you out there that don't already have plans, we have a show this sunday to replace the jackson 170 show! it's going to be really bizarre (suprise, suprise, hahah), so if you can make it, we'd love it! fortunately, the weekend is finally here, and even though i've been a slacker all week, i can finally slack off, and not feel bad about it, hahahah. i know dom will love this: i'm rewriting second chance with the lyrics to "goonies never say die," so that'll be up in MUSIC! soon enough! jacob's staying over my house all weekend, so we're going to practice until our toes curl up and get cramps! cool, have a happy friday. luke

10/03/01 - "it's like dejavu all over again!" - ?
i've had a lot of time on my hands lately, mostly because i'm sick and i feel like trash...so i've been skipping class and work. i figured that i'd get some site work done because 1. i am bored, and 2. i am bored. in case you didn't notice, the new magic card is actually a split card, but you can't really tell...at least it turned out better than the last few ones! i added a few pics and a show recap in the PICS! section, and updated MISC! with one new entry. there's a possibility that we can play a show with drive-thru pharmacy and the cherry tarts on sunday in place of the jackson 170 show (thanks mike), so i'll try to finalize that situation soon. i'm thinking about writing old show reviews for the shows that didn't have pics before i forget about what happened...but i'll do that later (i hope). cool, i think that's it. stay positive! luke(y)

10/01/01 - good times, good times.
thanks to all who came out on saturday for one of the best shows yet! it was packed with great bands and great people. we appreciate all of the kind words that you said to us, it means a lot. we also played a birthday party that day for christina moore that was pretty cool. we played our old songs that we hadn't played since the year before at ther party, so it was really bizarre! in some unfortunate news, the show this sunday with jackson 170 was cancelled for some unknown reason...hopefully we'll get a show to make up for it sometime. um...i'll hopefully get some pictures up from the shows soon, so check back for that. thanks again to the bands and the great crowd, you rock! lukey

9/28/01 - horns are fun!
woo-eeee! horns are fun! after another good practice tonight, i am ever more anticipating the show this saturday. trombones are the best thing to happen to Ħthe banana factor! since legs. there are a few small page updates, but nothing big. i updated the band bio in the ABOUT! section a little, and MISC! has five or six old drawings that i put up about halfway down the page. we'll hope to have oodles of pics after the show, so that should be grand! stay postive, have fun! lukey

9/27/01 - short & sweet
SHORT: directions are up for the october 7th show!
SWEET: practice today at 6:00, and jacob can actually come!

9/26/01 - stain / brown / bob's hobbies / saggy pants / window / gross / old man
these words might make sense to some of you...if they do, then i'm sorry for making you vomit, hahahah. anyhoo, SHOWS! is updated with another show (hooray!), and that is about it! a new (split?) card should be on it's way soon, so check back for that. we've actually been thinking of just having a three song demo just because they're already recorded, and we've been to busy (lazy?) to record the other two...it'll probably be better so that we don't record too many songs without the horns that they're supposed to have...i'll keep you updated. until then, have fun, sign the funbook and message board, and i'll see you all this saturday! lukeroo

9/24/01 - "what if you feel off of a cliff so high that you starved to death before you hit the ground?" - an idiot
hohoho, practice yesterday was merry! we actually have a song with a trombone in it! i guess not will definitely be crazy at the show this saturday. i put the new sticker up in the merch section, but i used the computer to turn it the right way (fbt rocks!). that is all...lukey. oh yeah, luke the fbr order came in!

9/22/01 - "i'll make it a future memory...i'll do it again." - danger krinks
it seems that i have fallen into the rut of bi-daily updates. either noteworthy things happen only every-other day, or i'm just a slacker...i would definitely go with slacker. even though the every-other day phenomenon is actually true, the fact that it's going up against my being a slacker makes it inconsequential, since my slackerness is so immense. um...site updates only include the SHOWS! page. it holds the finalized (i hope) info for YAY-SH!, next saturday's balogna show. new merch is in the making, and we'll hopefully finish our demo soon (haha, reread the part about me being a slacker)! we also have a bunch of other possible shows, but i'm going to hold off on putting them up until i get definite answers. okay, practice at around 2:30-3:00 today? lukey

9/20/01 - what's this? i'm confused...a bio?
LUKE BANANA'S BIO IS UP ON THE ABOUT! PAGE. this date must be remembered as the day that hell froze over, pigs flew, and the cows came home. after three sites, and 15 months, luke has written a bio (for real, hahah), so check that out! unfortunately, the killer seatbelts show fell through AGAIN! they actually are trying to planning it for real (i.e. not in a garage), so next time i advertise it, it really should happen. um...jacob's most likely a happy boy, since he now has both a valve and a slide trombone to play with. it's not fair how fast he learns...he will most likely have a few songs down by the 29th show. updates: MISC! has a bunch of really funny new stuff, so make sure to check out that. andy's and calie's bio is now in the other format, just without the little collage pics. the butt-ugly yellow background of the new magic card will be changed as soon as we get a cool picture for the background. lastly, PICS! has one little lonely picture, and a recap for last saturday's wonderful show. alright, it's 3:10 a.m., and i have to be at work by 8:00, so i'm going to call it a night! lukey

9/16/01 - phfat, phfat, phfat!
thanks so much to everyone who came to the show last night! it was so great to see everyone dancing for almost our whole set! it was definitely one of my favorite shows to date. also thanks to 5 days ahead, they were cool, too. um...SHOWS! is updated, and i added links to go allan and 5 days ahead on the LINKS! page. we're hopefully going to get our demo done soon, and also to get some more merch! so that should be grandose! hopefully pins, shirts, and new patches should be coming soon. also, our guestbook and message board are dying! we would love it if you would sign in everyone once in a while, or post a message up in the board. thanks! stay postive! lukey

9/14/01 - i'll git mah belt on yo hide...dumb server
stupid freeservers...the reason why pages aren't loading...their banner code is all messed up, and the browsers can't even read them. hopefully they'll change it soon...it's with all sites that end in .8m, .4t, etc, so it's a big deal. just letting you know that it's not my fault...i think? lukey

9/13/01 - late!
hey folks! this is sort of a late update for today (it's now 6:30), but better late than never. i'm still waiting on word from the bands about our 29th show, so BPC, son of alf, and the cherry tarts, please email me to tell me if you can make it or not. if not, i need to get some other bands to play. it looks like we have another show on the 22nd in elmer. it's the same thing as the garage show that was supposed to happen two weekends ago, but fell through. this time, it's a definite! i'll update SHOWS! when i find out all the wonderful details. hahahah, druel while andy, sue and i eat at ming lok! lukey

9/11/01 - yesterday was anti-utopia
hey...my consolation goes out to everyone who was directly affected by what happened at the trade centers / pentagon yesterday...it makes me sick to think about it. okay, as for site work, i added a tad bit more info to SHOWS!, and as you can see, HOME! is updated a bit, as well. um...we have a show on the 29th at the shop, also, but i'm going to wait to see which bands can play it before i put up the info for it. for this saturday's show, we're hoping that our sticker guy order (from over four months ago) will finally be arriving, and that the new valve trombone will be here as well. if not, then i guess jacob will have to rock out on the trumpet, disproportionate as it is! please keep in mind he's only been playing it for a week now. we never said we were talented, though, hahah. peace, lukey

9/7/01 - finger-licking good!
...was my beancurd homestyle from ming lok! anyway, i changed the margin pics from the horrors that were up yesterday...that's really about it. oh yeah, if you are confused about the go allan / snot rope hope show, go to BOARD!, then local shows. you'll find the lowdown there.

9/6/01 - tired, tired, tired
SHOWS!, LINKS!, and EMAIL! have all been semi-updated. we would LOVE it if you would sign up for our mailing list in the EMAIL! section. if you signed up in the past, this is a new list (b/c listbot is run by dirty, greedy, pseudo-hippies). anyhoo, the funky images on the left are from way back when...joe and i first did the site using only microsoft word and paint...it was scary! you can click the pictures to see our oldschool bios that make me cringe. what's this? luke martin has no bio? imagine that! hahah, okay, i hope that everyone's having a bearable time in school. we're hopefully gonig to have a school smells show in the next few weeks, but more info on that later! see you! lukey

9/5/01 - if i had a kid, i'd name him bosco
i just added those rad things at the bottom of each page to make getting around easier. um...the long-lost pictures from our first show with go allan should be up tomorrow (thanks emily!) with show write-up and all. we just got a show on the 15th. i don't have (fine, more like forgot) the info, so check back for that very soon. that's it!

9/4/01 - school stinks
this is the offical last update of the summer...it's been a good summer with lots of shows, and lots of fun. i start school today...poop on that...okay, three bios are done on the ABOUT! page: andrew's, luke's, and mine. i will finish the others when i have time. i'm still hoping on a firehouse show on the 22nd. they haven't emailed me back yet, though, so check for the info soon. click here to see the grandeur that is jacob's new valve trombone. it's so ridiculous: the alto sax broke at the bunny benefit II (hardcore!), so just joking around during practice, he picks up our house trumpet and starts playing alone...again pretty much perfectly (with the help of al). he was made to play it! he lears like a champ, so we'll hopefully have it at our next show! EXCITEMENT! we're hoping to record our last two songs for the 5 song demo soon, so be checking back for more info on that, too. as you saw on the way in, i'm making a new magic color, yellow. complete with banana mana (say it out loud for laughs). alrighty, see you later! luke(y)

8/31/01 - hi, my name is luke, and i'm addicted to the internet
i think that the format is close to done for the individual bio pages. mine (lukey) is the only one that's changed for now, so you can check it out. please tell me if it looks alright with your browser. it was really confusing to write the code for it (all with tables, if you know anything about html), and i'm not sure if it will show up correctly with everyone's different browser settings. okay, practice tomorrow at around 3:30 (except for calie...that stinks, i'm sorry!)? lukey

8/30/01 - all laziness and no sleep make luke go something, something...
update crazy? DON'T MIND IF I DO! all main pages are finally finished. if you have instant messenger, you probably have realized that i've been online for like eight hours a day for the past week updating, uploading, and reworking the pages. i still am working on the individual bios page, so if anyone has any funny questions that they would want answered on them, just sign the funbook. i already know we're going to have the ever-so-controversial "fold or scrunch" question, and most likely something about our musical interests. it's been fun doing the site, and although it's mostly been just imporovements, i hope you at least like it better than the one before. show info: the show on friday was cancelled (boo, hiss!), and i'm still waiting on an email from the firehouse for the possible show on the 22nd. also, i apologize for all of the crazy pop-ups. they are really annoying. i'm going to see how much it costs to remove them soon...okay! signing off, lukey

8/29/01 - no shows = bad
sadly, i was just informed that our show this friday was cancelled. the kid was "busy" or something. oh well...i finished the MUSIC! section, and i'm still working on the rest. i'll update the SHOWS! page later. i was really bored at work, and i thought up a bunch of new cards for the site, so those will be fun. peace out! lukey

8/28/01 - optomism = good
hey ya'll! new pics are up from the bunny benefit II. they are REALLY good (and there's tons of them)! all pages on the top of the banner are finished (check out MISC! for some new laughs). i still need to work on the individual bio pages, and the pages on the bottom of the banner. the show this friday should be REALLY fun. directions are now up, but if you need a ride, make sure that you contact us, and we'll try to arrange one! i'm also planning a show september 22nd at the firehouse. i'm just waiting on an email from them to see if it's okay. see you! luke(y)

8/27/01 - getting there
okay, i cleaned up the ABOUT! page a bit, but the member bios are still junk. um...SHOWS! is updated, PICS! has one new section, and i'm adding two more tonight. i should get the rest of the pages tidied up (and updated) soon enough. the bunny benefit was great if you missed it. thanks so much to mike b and all the bands (and people) that stayed for most of the show. lukey

8/24/01 - can't wait
hallelujah. show today. fun. hopefully jacob and alex will be there for our horns. andy is finally getting lessons, so we'll have a trombone (that plays in songs other than misfits of pitman) soon enough! ABOUT! is still under construction, as is the rest of the site. we have crazy stuff in store for you, tomorrow. especially a super, super fast rendition of the old favorite "just one of the seven deadly sins," a cheesy hardcore song that we wrote yesterday, and energy! which we've only played at the 4-h show before this. it should be a grand old time. i hope to see you there. also, emily, our resident picture taker, can't make the show. we'd be really appreciative if anyone could snap a few shots of us for the site. thanks so much! i hope to see you there! lukey

8/23/01 - eviscerated pancreas on toast
nothing's really new again, execpt for the ABOUT! page is semi-butchered. i'm still working on the layout for that. the rest of the pages are still junktified from when i renamed all of the pictures...i'm getting on that soon. practice again! tomorrow at 11:00. lukey

8/22/01 - more of the same
kind of fitting that the website's progress is also the name of big fat huge's album. why?... *runs away flailing arms and screaming wildly* on further note, HOME! is kinda redone, as you can see, and i'm working on a new layout for the ABOUT! secion. this'll probably include new bios, so email me if you feel like sending me one, or if you're luke, you can just give empty promises that you'll do it, only to take so long that i'll have to write a ridulous bio in an attempt to get you to write one so that i'll take the old one off! ...that was a run-on. i'm still working on the new magic card and the rest of the site. thanks! lukey

8/16/01 - absence makes the heart grow fonder
if any of you have ever had computer trouble, you know what i'm talking about. we'll it looks like i'm back on track, and as dirty as ever. there's so much site work to do that i'm overwhelmed! good news is that we mostly likely have a show on august 25th thanks to mike from dtp. i'll update that soon. computer is fixed. computer is fixed. updates will be plentiful as pollen-counts in south jersey! okay, i've gotta go finish watching tmnt as i fall asleep...it doesn't get any better! lukey

8/10/01 - if you can't get shows, make shows and play at them like dirty jerks!
since everyone's (fine...about five people) been bugging us to play more shows, yet no one ever wants to take the initiative and make one, i say that ĦbAnANa prOdUcTIonS! should get busy and rent out the firehouse......again. since Ħbp! is generally luke martin and me, i'll have to wait until he gets back to plan it. yes, jacob, danger, and luke are on a trip, so we can maybe do some trumpet practicing finally! i'm just rambling now....lukey

8/7/01 - if we didn't have ears, we'd look like weasels!
in reference to the subject line, i'd like it if people would post the "pinky, are you thinking what i'm thinking" replies next time you sign the guestbook...mostly becuase i forget 99.9% of them, and i want to laugh! computer=still busted. good news is that you don't need computers to have band practice.............yet. we've been hard at work trying to get some more horn parts down...it's going kinda slow, but it's still really fun. i think that energy! is finally done. it's short, it's sweet, it's got a really bizarre drum-driven ending...it's our new opening song. in other news, jacob suddenly realized that the sax was not for him so he's going to buy a trombone and get lessons! that's the best news ever, since jacob is insane (in a good way), and will do the trombone proud. unfortunately, this will again prolong our songs with being infused with more horn parts. also, we're planning on just doing a five song demo instead of a full-length. mostly b/c we're slackers, and also b/c we don't want to record a lot of songs without horns. it will have alone...again, just one of the seven deadly sins, people, and most likely things that aren't right and bob ross. so basically the whole *tbf* world revolves around the horns right now...alex, calie, jacob, andy...we've got some work to do! also, we're going to be picking up another sax player replace jacob's sax place...preferably alto, but i have to idea yet. i'm not sure if having a five-piece horn section is going to be too complex...but hey, it'll sure be fun! mike b from drive-thru pharmacy invited us to play a show november 11th (i think) at full-circle records with them. it's a while away, but at least it's a show! also, we can play a show on the 18th if luke, andrew, and jacob will be back by then. sign the book or drop me a line! i think that's it! don't worry, i haven't forgotten about all of those site update promises! lukey

8/1/01 - humbug
hello! no site updates today, just a little news: we're practicing today @ 12:00 be there or be penny-loafer. thank you. you need a ride al or calie? gimme a call!

7/30/01 - confucious say: to go forward, one must first go backwards!
even though that has virtually no applicable matter outside the realm of agressive chinese checkers, i felt it fitting to be said...but only in a cheesy and fake chinese accent. it appears that my poor computer, sally jessy rafael, most likely has a virus that's somehow blocking my access to the internet...BOO! HISS! if i haven't replied to any emails in a punctual manner, you can bet it's because i haven't been able to read them readily, either...for that, i'm sorry. in other news, the 4-h fair show was a blast! i'll probably have a few pics from it thanks to erin. when i get those, i'll do the standard show recap for that show and the 13th show. if my computer ever does get fixed, i PROMISE that i will add some cool info to the MUSIC! section. i'll add the lyrics to our new opening half-song, energy! and include such vital information as: song backgrounds...hm...that's probably it, but i'll try to make it enjoyable! anyway, i'm a gonna try to keep this updated more until me and sally can surf the net again! lukey

7/23/01 - i......am dirty
sorry...the lack of updates is really getting out of hand! my internet is still out of service...blah. okay, so good news! if jacob loses his game on tuesday, then he can come to the show on thursday! regretfully, danger may be m.i.a. again for that show. thankfully, there's at least one good song on the impossibles new ep, (four song) brick bomb. it's called oxygen, and i suggest that you pick it up if only for that song. the rest is...different...how i yearn for more back for the attack-esque music. plan b = gold-covered gold. i really am going to do a site update sometime, i promise! thanks for the support at our last show to all who came! since we played last (i will never know why), everyone left before we could scare them off...it was kinda disappointing b/c there was a lot of old people that i wanted to see run (hobble) in terror. i'll get pics from the 13th show up soon. i'm trying to get the info on the 4-h show, so hold tight on that. thanks! luke(y)

7/18/01 - why me!?
hmpf...my computer's broken...again...again. the internet is busted now. oh well, se la vie...or something like that. thanks to ben again...again...for letting me use his computer again. i'm taking off the failure of the rpg forum off of the message board. it should have been called "the desperate attempts of luke in his life-long history of futile efforts case #4512342055: the futile effort to make friends with other nerds, which backfired and wound up only being signed by luke and ben, which really serves no purpose because luke is already friends with ben forum"

in other non-futile and completely positive news:

1. we're playing a show this friday...which is always good news
2. the cherry tarts are a hilarious band of fun-loving communist people
3. ben informs me that anime is on in a few minutes on the action! channel
4. dirty larry is fandango!
5. no regrets got better since their last show
6. side pocket proved to play some good muzac
7. the bayside tigers are incredible!
8. both simpsons episodes were actually really good last night!
9. ben and i are actually going to play magic!

sorry...everything else is extremely pesimistic, depressing, and futile...including such topics as: danger and thies won't be at the show this friday, i will most likely remain the smallest increment under 6' for the rest of my life, the borg: "resistance is futile" a little star trek in there for you, justin! oh well, i promise a real site update again...again...and to be more not jerk-like and negative next time! luke - PMA! right now!

7/15/01 - thanks you!
a big thank you to everyone that came out to our two shows this weekend! we had so much fun! if anyone missed out on the shows, go to our LINKS! page RIGHT NOW. go to the bayside tigers website, and support them! they're an incredible band out of virginia that we had the honor of playing these last two shows with. not only are they a great band, but they're also the nicest people we've ever met! also thanks to all the bands that played the shows...especially on the 14th, where most of the bands played for almost nothing! my computer's still broken (thanks joe!), so i owe you a real update! lukey

7/12/01 - wild weekend!
i'll start with the bad news: SGR backed out of the show tomorrow...they were replaced with 37 slurp, and go real slow. this is really unfortunate, but...what can you do? anyway, the SHOWS! section has been updated accordingly, and i think that's about it. in a pleasant turn of events, calie and alex (and maybe a performance from andy!) should be at both the 13th and 14th shows, holding down the horn section while jacob's out shooting hoops (good luck!). hopefully they'll have the horns down for alone...again, zoom, and seven deadly sins, just one of the. we're still working on the rest! these shows are looking to be utopian in every form...i can't wait! lukey

oh yeah, i've been meaning to put this up here for like a month: after the sarah powell graduation party show, we somehow acquired a drum stick bag that definitely not ours. the brand is "cannon" if i remember correctly. if this is yours, we're sorry! we're not thieves! just email me and we'll arrange a way to get them back. sorry!

7/9/01 - cheers to the 61st update!
due to members being away and the like, our 13th show probably won't have horns, and the 14th and 20th show looks to be old school *tbf* with only joe, luke, and i...it should be interesting to say the least! hm...oh yeah, could you do me a large favor? click here and here for the flyers to our next two shows. if you know of any good places to put them up (record stores, coffee houses, etc.), could you please print out a copy of them and post them? i will do the same for any bands that ask me to. if anyone does, THANK YOU SO MUCH! site updates are small: i added calie's email adress in EMAIL!, and i posted directions to the warehouse from the south (shore, millville, etc.) in the SHOWS! section. after these next few shows, we have nothing planned in august yet, so email us for any possible shows and we'll love you forever! lukey

7/3/01 - um...yeah
side pocket has been added to the july 14th show. i'll know by tomorrow if the show will happen or not (there was a little trouble with the venue, but i think it's all good). check them out here for now, and i'll add their link later in the LINKS! section. another show or two may also be happening, so it looks like we may have a super-villian filled summer with many shows and the such like...??????? sorry, i practiced a little stream of thought there...now you know how my noggin works. luke(y)

7/1/01 - please come out!
the show on july 14th is coming along nicely. no regrets, dirty larry, and maybe smashed by cars will be playing there with us. it should be a great time, so come out and support us (that was a desperate plea to help us pay for our album production). we're also playing a bizarre 4-h fair show on the 26th. i have NO IDEA what to expect yet, so it should be really fun. i just hope that it involves scaring old ladies. i finally got a picture of alex up in the ABOUT! section, so chekc that out...MISC! has also been updated for the first time in a long while. lizz-uke

6/30/01 - give me feedback!
recording is coming along...strangely. either it's going be really fast, or really slow. anyway, the show on the 14th is kinda up in the air, now b/c the bands that i was hoping could play are all busy! i'm not sure yet, though...maybe smashed by cars could play or something. oh well, i want your feedback if i should wait on the show, or just have on with us and whoever else...or i could maybe even do two! oh well, either sign the guestbook, or email me! lukey

6/28/01 - hallelujah!
finally! more shows to make fools of ourselves at! make sure to check out the SHOWS! section before you go. in regards to the july 14th show, if any band out there would like to open for it, please email me...and i do mean ANY (almost)! that's about it...if son of alf or BPC reads this, could you email me if you can or can't (or won't?) play! thanks! luke

6/27/01 - short
about the only fun that happened yesterday was that joe and i trash-picked yet another matress to try and sound-proof the basement...we're only about 17 away now. i added alex's email in the EMAIL! section...i think that's it! lukey

6/26/01 - the rich need it, the poor have it; better than God, more evil than satan.
that's right...absolutely nothing! that also happens to be what happened since yesterday. i did get alex's bio up in the ABOUT! section, but i'm still lacking pictures of his hot asian mug. a little bit of new info on the july 7th show: i forgot to post up yesterday that the bands will most likely NOT be ska/punk bands, and also that ete wants as many people as possible to purchase tickets beforehand...i guess from us. if you have any trouble with that, you can still buy tickets at the door. ah, yes! cheese is the word of the week. after a hot day a great adventure, a few delirious minds came up with a new line of cheese products soon to rock the american market such as cheese-flavored soda, cheese-filled oreos, and cheese-scented deodorant. lukey

p.s. i'm really lagging with the magic cards. if anyone has ideas (that knows how to twist the mechanics of the game into deviously funny ideas), please mail them to me! i will give full credit to anyone whose card i post on the site. contrary to popular belief, it doesn't have to involve bodily functions, either...although it gives it an edge if it does!

6/25/01 - as good (and long!) as it gets
sunday was a good day for Ħthe banana factor! we had an almost complete practice (but no andy!), and actually got a song down with three horns! to clear up any confusion, the band members are now: lukey, luke, joe, andrew, jacob, andy, cali, and alex. if john wants to play keys, he's more that welcome...(hint, hint). um...i actually did a little site stuff today, so you can check out SHOWS! (that's right, a show!), MUSIC!, and the ABOUT! section. in music, i took the lyrics off for "goonies never say die" b/c, altough i liked the words, i hated the music. i replaced it with "transcend mediocrity" a new one that the band actually hasn't practiced yet, but that i'm really excited about! in the ABOUT! section, the impossible has happened! luke cooper martin actually wrote a bio! i had everything nothing to do with it honest! check out the forged authentic bio by me luke martin himself! while your there, i added some new band bio info, so check that out!

recording info: i'm going to keep you all posted on what's going on with our recording stuff (i always hate when bands are all secretive about it). we're planning on a 14 song cd that will include everything in the MUSIC! section except for bob ross, perfect life, and transcend mediocrity. we decided on this b/c these first songs were kinda like phase 1 of Ħtbf! our newer songs a just a tad different, and we wanted to capture the sound we had then. so far, we have the guitar and drum tracks for three songs. we'll be adding the bass, horns and vocals this weekend (hopefully!). the horns will be the hardest part since we just added three new ones in the last few months, so we're really not sure of a release date yet...that's it! lukey

6/22/01 - i'm not sure whether to laugh or cry!
that's right! we're actually starting to record...RIGHT NOW. after an unexpected turn of events, we're starting to record our trashy music really soon. since we're the most characterized by entropy (disorganization/chaos), it might take a long while to be completed...we don't even know how many songs or anything yet! i'm sorry for the lack of daily or even bi-daily updates recently, i'll try to get on that. no site updates, either...just some dirty news. "um...where's jacob thies?" is the question of the day...you have some explaining to do, boy! practice sunday? luke

6/17/01 - pleasant future!?
it looks like we may actually have some fun stuff going on! except for shows...none of those... *sobs* ah, i'll start from the top (bottom?):

  1. alexander jung chin may be joining the band for trumpeteering. that makes double the trumpet fun! if all calculations are correct, that will make 8-9 members (john on keys?)...but i flunked math.
  2. i'm going to redo the ABOUT! page by changing the little individual member bio-boxes into full-page information extravaganzas!...sometime soon?
  3. MUSIC! will also be changed to include song backgrounds. as for long-term, we'll hopefully record this summer, and if we do, i'll post mp3's up somewhere!
  4. if you missed the show on saturday night, you're a sucker! i added an adam's not funny link on LINKS! b/c they rock harder than 80's cheese metal! while in LINKS!, check out BWOMP!, the best site ever!
  5. if anyone visited that bonsai kitten web site, you can breathe a sigh of relief, for i was told that it's a disgusting scam. let's hope so...

we're still waiting on those stickerguy.com stickers to come in...it's been like 2 months now *sigh*. our next merch should be shirts, though! żfun, fun, fun? i believe that's all. Ħthanks to everyone!--i don't know why, but i just felt compelled to say that...and i mean it! lukey

6/14/01 - blah, blah, blah, bleh...
a possiblilty of a chance of a show? yup. the thought police asked us to play at their CD release party, but this is really tentative. speaking of TTP, go to LINKS!, and go to their new page and then to the download section. get their mp3, and next, enjoy! so ah, oh yeah! please check the BOARD! for important info on animal rights. lukey

i'm an idiot...i was just trying to cut the guestbook into smaller pages, when i cut and pasted over the cut section of the guestbook...there's a really big chunk missing now. sorry!

6/11/01 - same ol' same ol'
still no upcoming shows...it's been two days since our last one, and i already can't wait. i did add a list of all past shows! the link can be found in the SHOWS! section. i'm going to keep a record of them so we can put out an album like mu330's "oh yeah!" and put all of our shows in them. but that's only after our 2010 tour with asian man records...yeah, and then i woke up! okay, until next time! loo-key

6/10/01 - here we go again
so...we have no shows planned, but we're going to be looking to play shows as much as possible. again, if anyone knows of shows or venues we could play at, just mail us! um, sarah's party we much fun. seeing BPC is always a treat. i don't think we have any pictures from the show, so if you were there, you know it was great. []-[]ardcore []-[]ammer! (thanks steve!). hopefully we'll have more horn parts down before we play again, and maybe keyboard parts too?! luke(y)

6/5/01 - never give up, never surrender
okay, stuff is cooler now. the graduation party is shaping up to be fandango, so check the SHOWS! section for that jazz. my apologies to joe for being stupid about the fact that he couldn't make the show. i was upset b/c i was only thinking about getting more well known and playing with some bigger bands...the makings of a classic jerk. for that, i'm sorry. anyway, pics are up from the Ħsuprise! lock-in show from last sunday, so check those out. the LINKS! page is still under construction (i.e. i have no idea what to do with it), and i just switched to an older magic card again, b/c i'm going to wait until i think of a card that's worthy. loo

6/4/01 - life after hopelessness?
the worst thing ever happened...we're not playing the june 16th show with all those big bands...joe was going to be gone that weekend, and it'd be too frustrating to teach a replacement drummer about 10 songs in a week & 1/2. i know luke martin, as i am forever devistated...a chance to play with fairly big bands like SGR and adam's not funny wasn't ever in my wildest dreams. sorry for no site update again...for that i apologize. oh well, hopefully i'll have good news next update. luke(y)

6/1/01 - i'm a dirty liar
so i didn't get to the update last night...oh well, the shows section has the smallest increment up from nothing for new information, and the LINKS! page is so busted that i can't take it. i did add a smashed by cars link, and a new link to an updated thought police site. the new card stinks, but i didn't have the patience to mess with it, sorry. um, i think that's it...luke?

5/31/01 - back for the attack
now bear witness, i return defenseless...hm...word is that my computer's being fixeded right now. i'm at ben's casa again (thanks ben!) so tonight i should hopefully have a few new things done. hopefully we'll find out once and for all if anything can be arranged with joe and the june 16th show so he can do both...ĦEQUINSU OCHA! if anyone knows what that's from sign the guestbook, and the maddest, most stinky props ever will be delivered to your door (or really far away from it) by spongebob squarepants himself. okay...well until tomorrow. ROCK ON! lukey

"hallelujah! computer is no longer broken!" typed luke from his house. i WILL do some sort of cheese filled update tonight!...even if it is just a lame-o magic card.

5/29/01
Hello, its Joe again. Big news that I forgot about yesterday, John is now in the band. Hopefully he will get us a bio and a picture and all the goods. So that officially makes us a 8 piece ska band including: Luke M., Luke C., Andrew K., Jacob, Calie, Andy, John, and myself. As soon as we get a few practices with John he will be ready to play some shows with us so be on the lookout. Also we got a recording offer from Go Allan studios for pretty cheap. Ete said that we can record without horns for right now then go back and add them so we might have 2 different kinds of recordings. Thanks

5/28/01
Hey everyone this is Joe, Luke’s computer isn’t working so I took it upon myself to update the site. Well we played a semi-show at a church lock in last night. We didn't advertise because it was a last second thing. All the band members minus the new brass player where at the lock in and Luke walked up to me and asked me if I wanted to play so we went and got our equipment. It was a fun show not many dancers, however, we did give a few lessons on skanking so it was a good experience for those that have never been to a ska show before. We are not sure if we are going to play the 16th with SGR yet so keep checking the page for updates. Thanks bye bye.

5/22/01
thanks to john today for letting me use his computer. i changed the magic card back to the first one b/c i don't have the means to make any more for right now. the SHOWS! section is updated, but due to lack of time and equipment, that's all that was done...okay, hopefully we'll book another show before june 16th, but we'll see what happens. PEACE! lukey

5/17/01
another day, another update, another foreign computer. much thanks to joe for letting me chill in his room, while listening to weezer and playing tony hawk...that's the stuff that dreams are made of. applesauce? NO YOU IDIOT! the show is still on and everything, so that will be excellent. andrew's making up more patches, and we finally practiced (our first since the last show) so it should be mad fun.

5/16/01
hooray! an update! mad props to ben for letting me use his computer. um...CHECK THE SHOWS! SECTION FOR UPDATED TIMES THIS FRIDAY. other than that, i guess that's all. luke

5/12/01
too tired...too much work...anyways, 'bout alls i dids was tos changes the picture ons the way in. i'll try to do a real update after i get some sleep. i still am trying to find out when our show on the 18th starts, so sorry about that. after that show, we don't really have anything lined up, so it'd be great if anyone knows of anywhere we could play (thanks dom, i got the message, and we want to play! mail me with any info). okay, i'll see you guys around. luke

5/10/01
as you most likely noticed on your way in, there's one of those dandy click to enter pictures that everyone seems to be doing now'a days. i'll most likely update the card at least once a week to keep things interesting, and keep an archive of all past cards in the MISC! section. more pics have been added from Ħstink (fart) fest! and more may be coming if brit and jenel have good pics on their rolls (thanks for that!). i'm still waiting for info on the times of the show III, so check back for that soon.

5/9/01
hoorah! pics are already up from Ħle stinko de cinco fest! for your viewing pleasure. i posted up some pics from the other bands, so make sure to check them out! more should be posted by tomorrow! thank you to emily for the quick pics (i hate you, patric stoner!...not really). i also decided that instead of doing away with the message board, i would make it better, so check out the new and improved message board and start some topics for me! so um...that's it! peace-out! luke(y)

5/8/01
only minor changes to the site today. i believe that i have completed the arduous task of converting all type to lowercase (except for things that DESERVE to be capitalized). a few might be sneaking around, though. i also split the guestbook into two pages now, b/c it was getting too big, and too out of date. the link for the other page is on the bottom of the guestbook. thanks for all of the nice things everyone had to say about the show. we really appreciate it. hopefully, the firehouse will be a happenin' venue this summer. emily redid the old fan page, so if you feel like it, go check it out and sign her guestbook. the world is looking good. luke(y)

5/6/01
in retrospect, i have learned a few things about last night's show:

1. don't dance a lot before you play
2. the show should have been called Ħcinco de stinko!
3. this WILL happen again
4. the fans are awesome
5. the bands are awesome
5. practicing is good
7. fruzels will be tossed out in mass quantities next time
8. cleaning up stinks!
9. raspberry jamboree is soup for the soul

i think i hit all the important stuff. that was the most fun ever, i think...or close enough to it anyway. so, um...hopefully there will be more shows like this last one all throughout the summer, so stay tuned for more dates. pictures for the show should be posted sometime thursday if all goes as planned (thanks emily!). i posted the other Ħtbf! patch in the MERCH! section...and that's about it. thanks so much to all the bands who played, and everyone who came out and supported it! luke(y)

oops, almost forgot. when cleaning up, we realized that we have an extra mic stand (no boom, and really scratched up base), and two extra cords (one is red with black lines in it and has wide plugs, and the other is black and orange). please mail me if any of this stuff yours. the only thing that we can't find is joe's loveable clown horn without the horn. if you have any information on the location of this, i will be happy if you let me know!

5/3/01
hm...late update today. i added the lyrics to the two news songs we'll be playing at Ħstink fest! (bob ross and perfect life). i think my grandparents are gone...i don't smell naphthalene anymore, which is a good sign. Ħstink (fart) fest! countdown: 2 days! i think that's it!? oh well...lukey

5/2/01
sorry for no update yesterday again! the incarnate of all that is evil and reeks of moth balls is residing in the computer room this week (grandparents), and is hindering my access to the computer. i have to wait until the sun comes up, when they proceed to run and hide yeling something about "it burns!" and "i'm melting!" to use the computer. anyway, i did a little work on the MERCH! page, but there wasn't much to put up. Ħstink (fart) fest! countdown: 3 days! lukey

4/30/01
i spent most of my time today trying to notify other about the show (i.e. dirty larry, big fat huge, and lawrence). it just makes me excited to think that there are about 7 or 8 good bands in south jersey that all want to play shows. it then makes me upset to learn that there hasn't been enough interraction between the bands, and that no one's really taken the initiative to start shows. if we all support everyone, then we will have a great ska scene for once! okay, well, hopefully may 5th will be the start of it all. anyway, i updated the ABOUT! section and put up andy's bio (he still needs to give me a picture of himself!). i'm thinking of taking that awful message board down, but i'm not sure what would fill that spot (which is the reason it was there in the first place)...oh well. i haven't forgot about the MERCH! section! we've been doing a lot of our own merchandising, so i'll hopefully finish the page before Ħstink fest! so everyone can have a look-see. lukey

4/29/01
despite a depressing display of dirty, dirty (alliteration!) music, we regrouped after a bad practice, and decided to play every song that was worth playing. fun it was. it actually made me think that we may put on a good show at Ħstink fest!...nevermind. ah...we'll probably have two new songs to play at the show: bob ross (dedicated to the late painter), and perfect life. they rock pretty hard, so i hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do. see you in the pit!...as long as no one's being stupid. lukey

4/27/01
i apologize for there being no update yesterday, but i have an excuse! after reading lyrics to a son of alf song, i remembered a long lost video game thrill named blaster master. i played it until three a.m. and was too tired to lift my fingers to type. ah, yes! the mall punx are officially on the roster for he may 5th show. that makes 6 bands! fun, fun, fun! i updated the SHOWS! section accordingly. i have dubbed the may 5th show Ħstink fest! because saying it makes me laugh (try it). i sent out an email to all those on the mailing list for the finalized (i think) info for Ħstink fest! complete with directions from a few major roads and the order of the bands. i'm sure luke's and andy's bios will be up soon...well, maybe andy's. okay, well, that's all! i can't wait! lukey

4/24/01
hm...small update. the only thing i did was i put andy's story in the band bio in the ABOUT! section. make sure to sign up for our mailing list in the EMAIL! section...i want to start using that more to inform you of shows, or whatever else. i'm really excited about the may 5th show. hopefully, this we be the first of many ska shows around here. we all know that we need 'em! okay, i'm going to go play bangai-o, so wish me sanity. lukey

4/22/01
directions are up to the firehouse for the may 5th show. by the way, i'm tired of calling it that, so if anyone has a clever name for it, just mail me or sign the guestbook for your suggestions! if it's worthy of stupidity, maybe i'll give you some free stickers or something when you come to the show. i have the patches that joe made, but i'm not going to post them until luke m gets the stickers from stickerguy back, so check back for that. if i keep on pestering elizabeth lazar, she may give me a picture of her and rebekah's pez collection which is absolutely enormous, so that should appear in the MISC! section soon. flyers for the show should also be out soon. until next time (most likely tomorrow)...lukey

4/22/01
after witnessing firsthand the insanity that is son of alf, i immediately asked them to join in the fun of the may 5th show. we have an incredible line-up, so check the SHOWS! section. i'll post directions to the firehouse later. that is all! lukey

4/21/01
no regrets was confirmed to play at the may 5th show, and BPC is all but confirmed! i'm still waiting on word from the mcflys. for the love of all that is sacred, VISIT THE MISC! SECTION!!!! the newest miscellaneous update will have you pulling your hair in jealousy... anyway, i'm going down (over?...up?) to collingswood to see no regrets, son of alf, cling, and two days... play a show. i'll probably be leaving about 5:30 if anyone wants to come with me. cost is one measly dollar, so SUPPORT YOUR SCENE! let us pause for a moment of silence, as our counter went over 1000 today...okay now make some noise get off your stupid computer chair and go play an instrument that can be used in a ska band and go start one or start a label so that all of the great bands around here can have a way of getting cd's out and having their music know across the whole world like michael jackson and have kids in wheelchairs crowdsurfing in uganda! I'M CALLING FOR A REVOLUTION! PEACE, I'M OUTTA HERE! lukey

4/20/01
4/20/01 update part 2: there WILL be a firehouse show may 5th! i'll post up more info as soon as i find out who's playing.

well, i ruined my daily update streak by 9 minutes (curse you midnight). it's now 12:09 friday moring...and what a day that thursday was. we had a wonderful band practice that never sounded so bad. it was our first full practice since the BPC show, and we all had so much energy that we did nothing but have fun. it sounded terrible, but that's beside the point. andy is now an official member! the trombone is the best instrument ever. so much so that luke m will probably end up stealing it from andy to play it! i know i promised you an update on the MERCH! page, but joe just made some fphat patches, so i'll just wait until our other stickers come in and do a large update. all lyrics are up for our first songs. those are the ones that we play now, even though there's about 7 more songs that aren't up. im almost positive that we have a show may 5th at the firehouse (i'll update the SHOWS! section as soon as i'm positive), so that should be grand (sorry holden caulfield). i'll post who it will be with as soon as the bands get back to me. as far as the ABOUT! section, i'll also update that with andy's story and possibly even a bio from him and luke martin, the thorn in the side of the about page. *grits teeth* i also sent out the first mailing list email in a long time that pretty much just tells everyone to check out the site if they haven't been checking it lately. see you around! lukey

4/18/01
six days, six updates. a few more songs and a rad collage that i put together this afternoon were added in the MUSIC! section. check back for the rest of the lyrics, and possibly a show update. that is all. YOU ROCK for being here! lukey

4/17/01
here goes my second update for 4/17. music has a whopping three songs, but you get the idea as far as the layout's concerned. check back for the other stickers to come in and for more lyrics to be posted up! thanks for coming! lukey

as you can see, theres three more pages on the site now. MUSIC! and MERCH! really have nothing in them, but the message board is up and running (i think). just so you know, the shows section on the message board is for other bands or band junkies to post up show dates, locations, and information so that all of south jersey could be connected... we may actually have a ska scene? okay, i promise ill get working on the lyrics section. i hope that you enjoy all of the new junk. ah yes, if youve ever seen son of alf's web page, you know how ridiculously funny it is, so i put the randumb section of the message board for simpson's quotes, video game or movie trivia, and other fun stuff like that.

for band-related news: i bought a trombone!!!! andy now has no reason not to play it for us (besides never playing one before...but talent never was a big issue for us!). hm... that's about all of the news that i have. i hope you enjoy the new stuff! lukey

4/15/01
happy easter! if you missed BPC last night, they were great! the only thing that was bad was that there was no GOOD place to dance (aisles dont count). forget everything i said about the punk scene...it was a mistake. we might be having a show april 28th if everything goes through. if not, then youll just have to wait until may 18th! oh well...be nice! lukey

4/14/01
id like to apologize about my ramblings last night. the last thing i wanted to do was to offend. i was just tired and angry for some reason or another. i should have definitely used another word other than hate in my description of the punk scene... more like im disturbed or annoyed at it. the point that i was trying to make was just that i don't want to be like those bands who always seem angry, and all opposed to everything. most people seem to have forgotten that just being friendly can get you pretty far. i didnt want to come across as stereotypical, and i know that all punks arent the same...oh well. i hope that i explained myself better to whoever wrote in the guestbook earlier. if not, id like to hear your opinions (other than im ignorant). by the way, this is luke cooper who updates the site all of the time. so if you have problems or questions regarding what i post up here can email me at lukeysays@hotmail.com thanks, and sorry.

i also put up the other members' email addresses up in the EMAIL! section if you'd like to contact anyone individually.

4/13/01
i just have to get this off my chest. i hate the punk scene. sorry... i just want to say that after looking at "punk" band's web sites, it just makes me angry. i, we, are about the music only. i want there to be energy and fun at the shows, but NO REAL FIGHTING! i don't care how tough people act. i don't care about making it big (although i would like to be known!). i don't care about the image that the scene has... woo, that feels better. i DO care about you, about the music and the meaning, and about everything good. so...if you like punk rock, that's cool, b/c i like some... but when i go to shows, i want people to like each other, and be able to have fun...not fight. anyway...i just wanted everyone to know that im just trying to keep myself real. if i offend, i am sorry. on a happy note, andy might play t-bone for us! woohoo!

4/10/01
joe's bio is up!...but can you read spanish? I hope all of you are planning to attend the FREE BPC show at full circle records this saturday. i don't have directions, so you can probably find them somewhere...hm...andy play trombone? let's hope so. do yourself a favor and rent thrashin' the best 80s old skool skating video ever. dont stop the audacity!...lukey

4/08/01
Okay, I just bought a P.A. (I am happy)! To pay for this, we are going to have the next few shows to benefit the P.A. fund. Our next definite show is May 18th, but I'm going to see if we can put on a show or two inbetween then (check SHOWS!). If anybody knows of any venues we could play at, please, please email us! Jacob's Bio is up! Thanks Jacob! the rest of you are dirty scum Um...I guess I'll put lyrics up for selected songs (I have the right to some privacy!) sooner or later...that's about it! lukey

Hm...I still didn't receive any bios. Joe's off the hook b/c he's practicing with Adam; but the rest of you... shame, shame. Jenel's going to kill you. Anyhow, I forgot to wish Andrew a Merry Birthday 15th birthday. Thanks to Nick and Pat for reminding me. I'm thinking of adding two new sections: MERCH! and MUSIC! Since we only have two stickers right now, MERCH! will probably be a while, but for MUSIC!, I'm thinking about posting songs and lyrics. Tabs are so easy that I'd be embarassed to put them up, b/c then you'd see how easy they are...except the bass lines, but figuring those out is half the fun! I'm kind of hesitant about lyrics, so if you really want them, just tell me/us in the guestbook. I finally put a link to a straightedge website, so have a look-see at that if you're interested. Note that I agree with most of the stuff on there, but not all. I also added a pic that I drew to the lonely MISC! section. PEACE, I'M OUTTA HERE!...lukey

News, news, and more news! A lot has been going on, so I'll try to hit everything. Cali says she'll join *tbf*! It's been awhile since she was at a practice, and I wasn't sure if she wanted to play for us, but we now have a trumpet player! WOOHOO! She's the girl on the right of the banner. We mostly likely won't have songs down by our next show, but that's okay! Moving on...This past weekend, we actually recorded a little, and it actually sounded somewhat decent! Be looking for some demo tapes flying around Clearview, Township, PHS, and anywhere else we can throw them. We are finally getting some merchandise, although its limited to two stickers... we've got to start somewhere. I posted the price tag sticker on the left, and the other is actually getting professionally done by this guy. Luke drew an awesome logo, so be looking for that in the next few weeks. The PICS! section is completely redone! I'm happy about how it turned out, so I hope you like it too. You'll notice that there's a few pictures more than last time, mainly b/c I got over the fact that I look ugly in most of them. Oh well... Make sure to check out SHOWS! for some tentative stuff. After the sloppy fest that is known as the March 17th show, we decided to work on sounding good while we go nuts, so be looking forward to even more energetic shows that actually sound good! Wow, it feels good to actually have stuff going on. Okay, rock on!...lukey

If your name is Luke Martin, Joe Sheehan, Jacob Theis or Cali -instert last name here-, click this to mail me your bio! DO IT NOW! IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE I FIRST ASKED! Okay, my tirade is over.

Okay, I added one whole picture to the PICS! section that I stole off Emily's Site... it looks kinda cool, so check it out. As soon as I find the other pictures of those few shows that we played, I'll post those up too. I'll be changing the format of the new picture section as well, so stay tuned...or refreshed...or...whatever. Also, the next time you happen to sign the guestbook, I would like it if you shared the song you like the best (just so I know!), and what you like (if anything) about our shows. Feel free to make any suggestions for improvement (besides buying our own P.A. or practicing!) but just be nice about it... lukey

Hey! Sorry, but the news is that we really don't have any news... I'm just updating to let everyone know that we're still here, and that we want to play more shows, so be on the lookout for more shows soon! Great news is that I just heard that weezer's new album should be out sometime this spring... ROCK! =w= Also, no thanks to the butt who signed the guestbook, if you don't like us, I'm sorry, but just keep it to yourself, I'm already insecure enough! If you noticed, I took off the Anti-Rascist Action link, because I found that they are just as militant as the groups that they are against at most of the rally's they attend, plus, they're for abortion, which I just can't agree with. I replaced it with a completely non-violent organization called ADL, so make sure to check that out. Oh yeah, I need the members' individual bios too, so mail em to me! That's all, thanks! Don't stop the rock!

The show with BPC and mall punx was a success, I guess. Thanks to all of you who showed up! I'll be posting up pictures from it whenever Brittany gets them developed (Thanks Brittany!). We'd love to hear from you about what you thought, so just email us or sign the guestbook. If you missed BPC, then you missed a lot! Make sure to check out the best ska band around; their link is in our LINKS! section. Support local music! Thanks!

As far as I can tell, WE ARE playing Saturday night with BPC and the mall punx. I posted directions in the SHOWS! section, so have a look-see at that. Hope to see you there!

Joe's "cast" is off, so we should actually have a practice for once... tomorrow at 6:30ish for all of you in the band out there. Oh yeah! we are most likely having a show on Saturday night! If I remember correctly, its at the Aura Firehouse in Franklinville, but I'm not sure. I don't know how to get there, so contact BPC or something. I'll post the next Firehouse show date whenever I get it, and make sure to sign up for the mailing list (in EMAIL!), b/c I'm going to start sending emails out whenever we have shows... I just need the password... Joe? Thanks, and make sure to come out! Almost forgot; I took off some of the "old" news, so if for any reason you want to read it, just mail us!

Not to mention any names, but forefront trashed the grange last time they played there, so the march 17th show isnt happening because the grange doesn't want any more bands there... To add to the injury list, Jacob Thies put his hand through pane of glass, so he now has 8 stitches plus a broken finger. MISC! now exists, although there's little there right now... for shows, WE WILL be playing a Firehouse show soon... so just be patient! Thanks!

I changed a few very little things. I'll most likely be making another page called MISC! that will have random fun things, stories, and other junk, but I only have a few things to put there right now. If you are in the band, I need your bio whenever you get the chance. Joe's drums are hot (you'll see what I mean soon enough!)! And another thank you to emily, b/c i keep stealing pics off of her site to spice up this one. :)

ĦGO JOE! Joe went into surgery and got all needled up, but before he went under the knife, the doc snapped his finger back into place! We're now looking at about 2 1/2 more weeks before the cast comes off. I have all of the sections figured out except SHOWS! and I'm still working on LINKS! and EMAIL! Also make sure to sign up for the mailing list in the EMAIL! section. If you signed up for it using the old old page, then don't sign up again, it's the same one! I've been busy with the PICS! page, and have been trying to improve the functionality of the site...that's about it! Check for an update very soon!

2/22/01
I added a guestbook, counter, and a band bio (in ABOUT! section)! Joe will probably have to get surgery on his finger, :( but we're all hoping that he can still play at the March 17th show. I also did a few other minor changes.

Sorry, but the March 2nd show was canelled due to an unfortunate digit bash fest. Joe's finger is as big as a sausage in the microwave (not that we promote easting those fat-stuffed intestines, or putting them in the microwave), so we figured that we'd better cancel!

A huge TBF thank you to emily for making our fan site, woohoo! It's a lot better than this one, so check it out!
